Well, Rodney is just about to go into surgery to have his problematic tooth removed. It's a massive op for a guinea pig and one they often dont come away from but been left with no choice as its got too bad and he is only going downhill slowly.
Struggled to hold it together leaving him there and the journey home was spent wiping tears away! but I guess its what must be done.
fingers crossed for the little fella please guys!

Ohhh little Rodney, what a cutie. Mega fingers crossed for you and him. Just keep in mind that you're doing the best thing you can for him giving him a chance like this x

I'm fearing the worst. Haven't heard anything. Will phone once I'm home for an update. Absolutely dreading it :-(

Oh bless him, Rodney is such a handsome boy! So glad to hear he's come through, it must have been a horrible wait for you

Wow it must have been a big job then! Healing vibes for little Rodney, he couldn't be in better hands with Simon :)

Back home. I think the lady from teas might have been there but didn't get a chance to ask and say thanks for the offers of help with Rodney. He is very wide eyed at the moment but is eating grass so good so far. Back in on tues for as check up. Thanks for the vibes guys!

Oh such great news! So pleased for you and Rodney- if anyone could do it then it was Simon!

So pleased he is eating. Simon sounds wonderful. I've already made up my mind that if either of mine need dental treatment I will take them to him.

Simon is excellent and gets great reviews so much so i brought my guinea pig down on the train from edinburgh for treatment as the vet in edinburgh wanted to put him to sleep and hes doing great at the moment :)

Yeah. Think my normal vets would have suggested putting Rodney down a while back. Just a shame I didn't know about c&r clinic when del was here and might have saved him too. Rodney seems happy today and no longer groggy. Fussy with his food still but early days after such an op but is loving his grass so keeping him topped up with that.

Things have now taken a turn for the worse. Rodney is drooling profusely and not eating. Had lost over 100 grams since yesterday and is only 725 this morning. Currently at emergency vets but fearing the worst. He is really unhappy :'(

my worries got distinguished as I read the thread so relieve and happy for you both :)!
