my 3 year old matthew went into gut stasis monday afternoon.the signs were weakness, and no poo output.Monday night i managed 30mls feed in 6 hours.decidede i needed sleep.when i awoke tuesday,i could see it was a fight for his life.i rang my vet whom agreed i could give medication i had at hand.so i fed 2 to 4 hourly for 48 hours.today there is improvement, but its taking 3 hours to get 15mls of feed ,he is still very weak.I'm so greatful to Weibkes thread on Pila Palas gut stasis thread,as Matthews seems to be following the same course.it stopped me panicking. seeing no poos for two days.I'm just going with the flow, sleeping when i can.Just hopeing Matthew pulls through.Hes had not had any bloat.the gut stasis came on at frightening speed.he had eaten alot of fresh grass Monday and that seems to be the cause. Thanks to the detailed thread it has enabled me to have some knowledge of what to expect.

My fingers are crossed for Matthew. My rainbow bridge piggy Ben had a few really bad cases of gut statis and we managed to get through each time with round the clock feeding and with the care of the vets, so I can empathise with you. Frequent feeding is so exhausting, so my thoughts are with you all.

Thinking of you both, hope Matthew is over the worst and makes a full recovery x

Sending Matthew lots of love and vibes, we had great success with cisapride the other month from our vets when Chick went into statis

Lot of love mate x

Oh @eileen what a worry for you to find poor Matthew in stasis. Well done on your swift treatment and dedicated care. I hope his recovery continues well x

Hope Matthew pulls through @eileen I'm glad he's still hanging in there and your swift emergency response will have made all the difference! The info on the forum can be a lifesaver, when Puggle had acute bloat a a couple of years ago she only made it because of the emergency advice we found here.
Healing wheeks his tummy gets back to business as usual very soon x

So sorry I missed this Eileen, sending massive hugs and healing vibes for lovely Matthew. Hope he keeps on improving ❤️ xx

So sorry to hear you and Matthew are having a tough time.
The boys and I are thinking of you and sending lots of love! 💕
