My OH likes giving the boys veggies in an egg box. Eddie is big enough now to get his first one - he had to watch Tofu opening the lid several times to figure out how it works



They continue to bring me joy

Comet got water all over the place doing something similar with a bowl once. He was very confused. Blitzen was not impressed.

Eddie is glad to hear he is not alone he figured it out pretty quick after getting hit in the face

He does still drink upside down from the water bottle though. Makes a giant mess and I have to change the pad underneath twice daily. I’m sure he KNOWS he’s big enough to drink normally now but he will not change. To spite me, I suspect. Don’t trust the innocent ones

It's hard to change habits!

Cam always drank from the bottle with his head twisted round at a 70° (roughly) angle. Didn't matter where the bottle was, he wouldn't drink from it unless he was practicing his circus contortion routine.

Then he started attacking the bottle itself and that's how the goblins ended up with water bowls instead, lol.

Naomi always drank upside down. She could empty all the water bottles in the cage within a few hours.
I ended up having to use a water bowl

I may have to resort to a water bowl with Ed if he keeps it up lol. He’s now decided hay is tastier when eaten upside-down too



Tofu getting some pea flakes after a bath he’s got a half-heated snugglesafe too, as he’s lost a lot more mobility. Back to the vet next week. He is getting spoiled rotten for however long he has left

Eddie has somehow managed to chew through my entire paper bag collection, which has never happened before. So they have a carrot cottage now

Tofu knew exactly what was up and clambered up there as soon as I put it in the cage. Ed has yet to figure out where the carrot is… he can SMELL it, he KNOWS uncle Tofu is getting it from somewhere, but he cannot find it no matter how many circles he runs around the outside

Tofu is a bit unimpressed by how much carrot has already disappeared he's back to the vet later today so getting spoiled with some extra coriander to make up for it

Found Eddie taking a nap on the roof of the carrot cottage this morning! He jumped down too fast for me to get a picture. Noodle used to jump up on top of them as well, but Tofu/Patches never figured out how. I thought Eddie was too small. I have been proven wrong

Thank you to be honest, I'm not expecting good news. Tofu is rapidly declining. It's just about deciding what point it becomes too much

I'll be glad to have a proper chat with the vet in person to go over everything. Otherwise I'm just focusing on giving him lots of cuddles and treats and happy memories

Tofu crossed the rainbow bridge at the vets it was his time. He was down to 950g (his healthy weight was 1.25kg) and he was in pain and lethargic

We are heartbroken
