So sorry you lost your special boy. You guys gave him such great care and he knows it.
 
I’m so sad to read Tofu has travelled to RB
He was a gorgeous piggy and was living his best life with you all
I loved reading about him
Popcorn freely at RB sweet Tofu reunited with Noddle and Patches who’ll be waiting to greet you
It’s been very tough for you and your OH ….nearly a year since losing Noodle and then Patches earlier this year
Take care as you grieve…. because we love them so much …it hurts so much
In time you will feel stronger and be able to remember lovely Tofu without the tears

Thank you everyone ❤️ I know I’ve said before Tofu was extra special. A little gentleman. It hurts so much but I am glad he’s at peace now and back with Noodle and Patches over the bridge

It’s been such a strange year. Horrible to lose three so close together but also, I got to meet Patches and Eddie this year too and those were good things. Thank you for your lovely words ❤️

Speaking of Eddie, the little terror is very sad. I gave him a good cuddle this morning. His weight was a tiny bit down so going to keep a close eye on him and get him a new friend sorted as soon as we can. He’s only five months old bless him ❤️ he is tucking into his hay & pellets now

Eddie, me and my slave knows that feeling. I lost four neighbours in one year. Its rough and sad. I hope you cheer up when you realize there's some perks with being the only pig in the house - like all the attention and food. I love it! But slave tells me I cant live alone forever and that a new neighbour will sign a lease and move in. I will enjoy this time while it last...

Eddie is very happy to hear from other piggies! He is quite spooked to be on his own. He’s taken up residence in a corner hidey and wouldn’t even come out for veggies earlier, which had me very worried. It’s very strange not to see him zooming and popcorning

He has since poked his nose out for dinner and eaten a little bit of hay. And then immediately squished the roof of the hidey. Tofu’s legacy lives on ❤️🌈

Hi Kongo,

Wow I’m so sorry for your losses, it’s so sad to have to say goodbye. Uncle Tofu told me about his previous friends and how he was going to go join them and I’d be alone for a bit, but not to worry because the humans would get me a new friend soon. I hate being on my own so far (it’s scary without a big pig to snuggle) but you’re right I do get lots more treats and attention all to myself!

I let the main human cuddle me this morning without even wriggling or squirming or demanding pellets. I suppose he’ll do for now until I find another piggie to enact my diabolical plans with (and there are lots of interesting piggies on the forum to read about in the meantime)

Give Eddie time to grieve and to find his feet on his own. He is eating and drinking, so that is a good sign.

Thank you ☺️ I have taken your advice and not cleaned out the cage (other than where most necessary) so he’s got Tofu’s scent still
 
I'm so sorry you lost Tofu. 💔😭 He was a lovely boy and I'm sure he was thankful for everything you've done for him. I do hope Eddie will be alright.

Popcorn free Tofu. You will be missed dearly. 🌈❤️
 
When I had Thea pts earlier in the year, I kept a hidey with her scent on for a couple of weeks so that Misty and Bramble could snuggle into it. I knew they were missing her less when they were in Thea's hay tray. They didn't go near it for around 4 weeks. It was Thea's as no other piggy was allowed near it or else they got a right telling off. It takes some piggies longer than others to grieve the loss of a friend.

I understand, Eddie. its very much okay to miss uncle Tofu and be sad. He was a very nice chap, much nicer than me myself. But I think uncle Tofu and his friends are still with you, watching you from the bridge and wants you to be a brave kiddo. You're small on the outside, but a lion on the inside!

I can just recommend to start to enjoy cuddles. I love it. I can be in the cuddlebox for hours, just chillin' and hanging out with slaves. After veggies thats the next best thing in the day!

Thea was a legend ❤️ Ed has been snuggled up in Tofu’s favourite rainbow hidey and barely coming out. It takes time I know. I’m glad Misty and Bramble are doing better, and able to brave Thea’s hay tray together

You sound pretty nice, big brother Kongo! I appreciate the wisdom. I have been tempted with lots of pea flakes and lettuce today and poked my head out which seemed to make my humans very happy. I even jumped on top of the carrot cottage again, that was fun!

I am still warming up to cuddles but I did enjoy another snuggle this morning before I got put on the evil scales. At least I got lots of treats after! Eddie

I think overall Ed is doing okay - he’s been busy with the carrot on the cottage! - but his weight was down again this morning. Been in touch with the rescue he came from, they have a four month old single girl available 🤞

Tempted him out of the hidey with his favourites but he’s still very subdued. I did see half a zoom with morning pellets though

Eddie, I'm sure Uncle Tofu is looking down at you and simply LOVING that you're enjoying Carrot Cottage, since he can't anymore. Next best thing is that you're enjoying it, rather than some other random pig, or that it goes to waste, heaven forbid.
You're such a clever boy for figuring out how to jump onto the roof too!
 
Two lots of good news this morning - Ed gained a bit of weight, and the single girl from the rescue is coming here tomorrow ☺️ they’ll be neighbours at first so she has a chance to settle in before any bonding attempts (Ed is already 7 weeks post neuter, thankfully)

He let me have another big cuddle this morning after I weighed him. We got a squeak with veggies last night too, the first sound he’s made since losing Tofu

Thank you 🥰 I am relieved Ed gained weight today

I spent a lot of yesterday printing out photos of Tofu to decorate my planner (I’ve got pages for Patches and Noodle too) and that helped a lot. He’s got his own frame on the shelf next to theirs as well that OH went out to buy for us. Tofu is irreplaceable

All our piggies and pets are….. and live on in our hearts and minds ❤️
 
How clever of Eddie to be on top of the carrot cottage and to have made a squeak, the first one since losing Tofu. They are such lovely sensitive little beings.

A little sow friend for Eddie. How wonderfully exciting.
