Congratulations to the successful bonding. I'm not surprised it went well. But with guinea pigs you never know.

Haha I know, on paper it was always going to be fine but then you read about all the drama and it’s easy to jump to worst case scenarios! They had literally one tense moment in the pen, then Ed backed down and they were besties after that

Nutty Lady Meg has been zooming everywhere. She was still pretty shy when in her own half of the cage, so it’s lovely to see her getting confident and making full use of their space. Ed has barely stopped moving

They’re so cute. Came down this morning to find them curled up together, though they moved as soon as I got my camera out, naturally!



Nutmeg wheeks like a possessed thing. I’m enjoying it. My OH, who has yet to experience a true piggie wheeker, is shocked at the amount of noise from such a tiny creature

Unfortunately Eddie has taught Nutmeg the way of the mountain goat they’re both up there a LOT

Glad they’re having fun, but they’ve raced through the carrot. I might have to find some hammocks for them


They’re still good friends even though Nutmeg steals Ed’s food

I have 3 climbers all of whom are loving the fact I bought a large carrot cottage this time around because it's massive, lol. They can stand on it and have room to move around.

Tolka in particular approves of Meg's newfound pastime @JaseChase. Things are always more fun when on top of stuff!

He has grown so much! He’s almost 1kg now Meg is only just 700g and a dainty little thing. Tofu was 1.25kg so he would dwarf them both haha

I’ve never had a climber before either. Noodle did jump on the roof of carrot cottages a couple times in his life, but always out of a desperation for carrot rather than because he enjoyed it

@Lorcan I’m glad yours are enjoying the bigger size! I’m adjusting to having smaller guinea pigs (my boys were all over 1.2kg) so I just automatically bought the large one again and I’m amused at how Meg is dwarfed by it haha. Lesson learned

Now they’ve both proved to me they like jumping - they are frequently doing parkour off the hideys as well as the cottage - I’m going to have to find more safe climbing opportunities the sound of ‘thud-crash-waitwhatwasthat’ has become a frequent occurrence

That white forearm is just a white front paw now he's bigger! He still poses with his feet out



Nutmeg survived her first proper weigh & health check she even tolerated a little bit of a cuddle before she had enough and wanted to return to Eddie. She's gained 50g since she's been with us, but she's still only 740g. A dainty little pig. Eddie is officially over 1kg now



They have a cardboard box along with the carrot cottage, as they tore through their paper bag, and Meg was fully expecting more carrot to be on the roof (featuring a blurry Ed)

Miss Bramble is still at Aunty Lilli's on an extended holiday as I have come back from my cruise with a terrible cold and feel rotten. It's all I can do to drag myself out of bed. Had a bath this morning and feel much better.
