Meet Edamame 😍

There’s more to love when they’re a big boy/girl! Tofu was 1300g at his prime, 1250g towards the end of his life. Patches was my biggest at 1450g. Noodle was the smallest at 1200g

I stand corrected: Ed is actually 1070g as of this morning 😮 (didn’t weigh them yesterday, I was poorly) - for a teen he’s pretty relaxed about health check days. He’ll let me poke and prod as long as he has a snack 😂

Nutmeg is 818g today and a very round happy girl 😍 she doesn’t like being picked up, but she doesn’t run anymore. Instead she picks a spot to stand in and wheeks in protest: ‘oh no, the predator is capturing me, I’d better scream so everyone knows where I am!’

Eddie will occasionally come to her rescue and rumble at me, but he abandons her as soon as I distract him with food 😂

I’m getting some cuddles with these two now and feeling very lucky 😊 they’re such sweethearts - especially Nutmeg who keeps nudging my hand. I think she’s apologising for the ferocity of her wheeks - she starts as soon as partner gets home from work and keeps it up for the two hours until veggie time 😂

They do also trample each other a lot 😅 mostly Ed standing on Meg’s head, much to her annoyance

Weigh, health check & clean out day resulted in MANY popcorns and zooms

I got some of the Ings hay because I wasn’t really happy with the last brand I tried and our usual vale bale is still out of stock. Well both piggies are having the time of their lives with it. I might have to switch permanently 😅

Eddie absolutely GLOWS in the sunlight

I’m obsessed with Nutmeg’s whiskers 🥰

Mine think Ings hay is the best too

Dear Forum Piggies,

We have to say a big THANK YOU! For telling our slave about ings hay. It’s the tastiest we’ve ever had! We even prefer it to our Timothy hay which was our special treat before.

Please give us tips on how you make sure your humans keep buying it for you. Ours needs more training. We hear a few of you have managed this.

Wheeks and zoomies,
Lord Ed & Lady Meg

Dear Lord Ed and Lady Meg,
It is our honour to help 2 such lovely and titled piggies.
When we get Ings hay we make sure our slave sees us getting very excited about it.
We make sure the hay pile is much smaller when she checks on us again, and we don’t make as many tunnels in our Ings hay either. We eat it.

Love from Miriam and Moses

Shout loudly when the exciting huge plastic bag arrives in the front door (of course, all parcel deliveries are for the piggies aren’t they?)

Changed up the cage layout for them today 😍 I got used to leaving it the same with Tofu’s sight loss, but these two menaces love exploring a new setup

This one included a paper bag, which sparked a spirited discussion over who got to stay in it (Ed won, for now!)

Eddie is almost eight months old now! :yikes:

Eddie, you've changed into such a big handsome chap! Lovely coat colour.
He is officially 1.1kg now and as long as my forearm haha

He & Nutmeg like to stack. I’ve bought them hammocks for Christmas as they enjoy climbing so much (this was also when I was an hour late to giving them breakfast. They were not impressed)

Gave them veggies in an egg box again 🥰 Nutmeg was a bit frustrated until she figured out where Ed was getting veggies from. Ed remembered not to stand on it so he doesn’t get hit in the face 😂

Dear @JaseChase

Don't think you can bribe Eddie and Nutmeg with a couple of hammocks and all will be forgiven. They won't forget breakfast was an hour late and they won't forgive you in a hurry either. I don't think hammocks instead of breakfast is a fair exchange and neither do they! I've sent them a wheakmail about this. You have been warned!

Dear Miss Bramble,

We have received your wheekmail and we whole heartedly agree that a hammock each does not make up for breakfast being so late. We will consult your guidelines for how to make sure slave pays us back properly (we think we are owed a mountain of coriander and a fresh carrot cottage).

Wheeks, Lord Ed & Lady Meg

Clever Ed🧠! Clever Nutmeg, once she figured it out 🧠

Lovely pictures of lovely guinea pigs. Can't wait to see them in hammocks!
Thank you both 😊 I hope they like the hammocks, but chances are they’ll have a sniff and then go back to the (cheap, free) paper bags haha. They’ve got through three this week already, my supply is running low again 😂
