It was suggested to me to post pictures of my herd and start my own thread. Meet the Frothy Five (all piggies have coffee names!)

---------------------------------------

First up we have Pumpkin Spice (aka Pumpkin)!

Pumpkin was adopted in Mid-September and is about roughly 3-4 months old. She is currently seeking position as alpha sow, challenging any pig who dares enter her path. She's adventurous to hay, skittish to hands, and will sequel like shes dying if you pick her up. She sweet. Shes spunky. She's Pumpkin!

Next up is LITTLE BEAN

Little Bean is sister to Pumpkin, coming from the same herd. She is about 3-4 months old. She is a detective at heart, not scared of anything (except being held or picked up!). She's the first to investigate new areas, first to wheek at the sign of food/love, and will bathe your knuckles. She's my lil bean!

Next up we have Nutmeg (aka MOG)

Mog is the biggest girl of them all, coming in at around 1100g! She is my little porkster who just wants to eat everything you have to offer. She was adopted with two other herd mates about two weeks ago, age unknown. She gets excited around food, so much so, she will become protective of anything that is in a bowl - claiming it as hers. She has yet to make any noises, including wheeking. She's also the messiest water drinker! She's sweet, adorable, my lil Mog.

------------------------------------
Next up we have Brulee (pronounced Brew-lay)

Brulee was the alpha of the three herd mates, now being challenged by Pumpkin. She's very active when things are quiet but is very shy around humans. She will come for treats but, like Pumpkin, will take it and run away to a hidey. She has a wonderful personality that shines as long as you do not interact with her. Looking forward to seeing her grow as we continue to bond. Like Mog, unknown age.

Lastly, we have Caribou (aka Boo)

Boo is a very sweet piggy with a heart of gold. She is the only piggy who is willing to sit in your lap and let you pet her without freaking out that you are trying to harm her. She's gained 200g over the past month - with a possibility of being pregnant! She came along with her two herd mates, Mog and Brulee, and age is unknown. We will be taking her to the vet on Friday (two days from now) to see what is up. I love her to death already - She's my BOO.

Thanks everyone! I love that there is such a variety in both breed, color, and personality! It's nice to be somewhere that loves and appreciates them as I do :) <3

What a lovely herd of ladies you have there. Your Boo is gorgeous x

Have you weighed mum and pups yet?

Yup! 99g and 116g! They are both happy and healthy going into their first full day of being into this world. The rest of the clan will be going to the vet today to double check their sexes and to check to see if Nutmeg is also pregnant. We are assuming if Caribou was preggo then the other two girls might also be preggo too, seeing how they came in together to the humane society. They would be 6-7 weeks along at minimum - so we will know soon enough.

Here they are following mommy!

Good mamma. Fingers crossed they others dodged the boar bullet.

Yeah, I hope so too. Nutmeg (my profile pic) would be the only one I would think could possibly also be pregnant - mostly because her body is the right shape and she's the heaviest out of everyone (and is eating more than any other pig) - but when I felt her tummy yesterday it wasn't the same as Caribou. It was more squishy, as if it was just her being overweight rather than pregnant. But we will see! Two weeks ago I only had 2 piggies. Now I'm up to 7. I'm a crazy cat lady and a crazed guinea mom!

You have a beautiful ever so slightly increased herd. Your new mini additions are beautiful.

Update from vet: Bulee and Nutmeg might be pregnant, but it is too early to tell. Both had an X-Ray done to check for other issues and nothing showed up. Going to be on pregnancy watch over the next few weeks to see if there are any changes. Vet said that if Nutmeg is pregnant, she might only be having one pup as she only felt something on one side. By the time I bring in Caribou and the new babies for sexing & check-up, we should know more about both Brulee and Nutmeg on if they are pregnant or not. BUT we at least got double confirmation all of the herd is girls (minus unknown of the two babies). :)

Fingers crossed for Bulee and Nutmeg, hope they have no little furry surprises for you x

Those babies are heart meltingly gorgeous.

Congratulations on your extended herd.
Is it now the Fizzy Seven?

Fizzy Seven? Hehe - I love it! I'm not sure tho- All the piggies are named after something coffee - so right now I'm sticking with Bean Team as a play on Dream Team until we know what number we have at the end of this all.

Given the background, I would not be surprised if all three were pregnant (Caribou, Nutmeg, and Brulee). At least with the other two, I have some warning (more than a few days!) and Caribou will have time to rest and focus on her piggies.

The newborns are ADORABLE. I just wanna smother them with kisses!

Question: On the off chance the other two piggies are pregnant - The cage I currently have cannot fit all piggies and offspring. At what point would I want to separate and who would be separated? I have my starter cage that is slightly bigger than the standard Midwest. It can sit next to the other cage I currently have. Or would it make sense to buy more grids and temp. expand this cage so all big lot are together? Of course, this is all speculation, but I'm just curious to know so I can start making financial preparations if needed.
