Member Gallery: Commercial Cages

I wanted to post my cage of one of my girl pairs before I change them to a 6x2 c&c. Technically the c&c will be a bit smaller than this? i think but it will be easier for me to access them and look better. These ferplast plazas also have a ridge where they are connected and the girls go over it no problem but the c&c will be all flat so more easy for them to run around.

This is a 160 plaza and i think it was another 160 i bought and connected various pieces so its about 200cm long with an 100cm extension

Member commercial cages

Please use this thread to post pictures of your indoor cages. Try to include some information with the photo like:

Cage Type
Where it was purchased or how it was made
What size it is
How many piggies are kept in it
How easy it is to keep clean/if you'd recommend it

Bear in mind that new members will look to this thread as an example of good piggy keeping so photos of accommodation that is inadequately sized, dirty or overcrowded may be removed at the discretion of admin.

This thread is NOT for discussion of the photos, please start a new thread if you need to.

I have bought this 6ft x 2ft wooden indoor cage from hamster homes (guinea pig cage though) it’s great quality sturdy and can buy a secure lid. I have a cat so wanted something secure for safety even though he won’t go in room. I have it on two ikea desks so lots of storage underneath. New piggies seem to be enjoying the space.

I bought my cage from Woody’s Pets (UK) they have their own website and they’re also on Etsy. Adam was great and made me a custom cage to be the equivalent of a 2x6 C&C cage (210cm long), their standard cage I think is the same as a 2x4. It’s quite empty in the pictures as it doesn’t have their hammock stand in but they enjoy zooming around when I change the layout so I try to not always have the ramp/shelf in to give more floor space. I don’t think photos do it justice, it’s easy to clean I'm really happy with it. I have a cabinet arriving soon which the cage will be placed on top of, to store their things in and raise it up off the ground.
