Hi all, we currently live in the US & are planning to move to Scotland next year. The UK website indicates all rodents coming from non-EU countries need to go through a 4 month quarantine for rabies. Some people have suggested if you travel through an EU country such as be France, you can avoid a quarantine if you have a health certificate. Does anyone have any experience with that? Or can you get a rabies vaccine for guinea pigs to avoid the quarantine?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Personal experience is one thing, but the rules change on a regular basis so the best thing to do is contact the government department responsible for the import of animals.

This way you will know for sure that you have the most up to date and actuate information..

Hi there,

I wondered if you had an update on your journey to the UK with the piggies and if you went through Europe to avoid the quarantine?

Thank You,
Heidi
