Well she is not quite here yet, but I want to leave you all in suspense. :))

Just keep your fingers crossed she takes to him! I have no worries whatsoever about Kingslie, he is a gent (although a bit on the loony side, I am SURE it is something to do with the crest).

It's the girls I always have trouble with.

Thanks as ever to Sophie for making this happen. With the arrival of Mrs Kingslie, that means 7 of my 14 pigs came from GPRN. xx>>>
 
AWWW - I can't wait to see Mrs Kingslie; and neither can Ceri, Cariad and Caron who all are gone on him! drool

I'm sure that Sophie has found a beauty for him! Best of luck with the intro!

PS: You are MEAN not to allow us glimpse at the future Mrs... :x
 
Some more info Sophie has given me. Should tide you lot over until she's here and I get pics... :)

She should be arriving teatime/early evening (I think), thanks to Sophie's OH also who is bringing her to me.

Her name is Rose. I believe I will keep her first name as Rose, but trying to think up a second name that honours both my recently passed Humphreys Guineas.

She is at least 5 years old.

Fleece destroyer. (Could prove interesting!)

Only drinks out of a water bowl. Again, will prove interesting, because Kingslie runs round the cage at full speed at least 2-3 times a day. I forsee one or two "dips" until he learns to avoid the water bowl. :))
 
hahaha sounds like she'll keep you very busy! hope Kingslie gets along well with her, they sound like they could be double trouble once together :)
 
Can't wait to "meet" Rose, it sounds like it is going to be fun in the Kingslie enclosure!:))
 
I forgot to say, Rose does use a bottle now ;) I had been keeping a bowl in there for her, which was a nuisance to keep clean, and one day just saw her lapping at the bottle like the other pigs!

Aw Kingslie lets hope your wife is good to you. :))
Looking forward to seeing pigtures of the new couple. (and maybe a little clip of Kingslie's laps? with or without the swimming section :(|) )
 
I've been lucky enough to have met the gorgeous Rose, I'm certain Kingslie will love her - she's stunning x)

I know I have been slow in sharing pics, I am sorry, honestly it was not deliberate to keep you all in suspense!

I have been wanting to share but I am an old fuddy duddy when it comes to introducing a new pig, I like to be settled on the name first. I have finally done so this morning, so, allow me to introduce...

Rosemary Evelyn

She'll usually just be called Rose. The second name of Evelyn is a tribute to both the HGs who passed this year, Gwenivere and Franklyn. Eve is taken from Gwenny's name, and -lyn is from Frankie's.

Kingslie, bless his heart, was terrified every time she moved for the first ten minutes. He is scarred for life by my two cowbags, Saffron and Meghan. If she suddenly turned round, he ran as far away as he could. He finally learned that she's not a cowbag, so they pottered along fine, just the usual sniffing and rumbling and nose to nose encounters. Kingslie did get a little OTT a few times, trying to climb on her, but this is where Rose came into her own, she is firm but fair, she will stand up for herself and put him back in line without getting her claws out. She is very sweet natured. Thankfully she has paid no attention to the fleece, she is able to drink from the water bottle (thanks for letting me know Sophie!), and she's eating everything I give her.

Kingslie was absolutely ecstatic the first night she moved in, I have never seen a pig popcorn so much, he was quite literally beside himself, you could feel his happiness. Even Rose managed a few popcorns alongside him! I did get some vids but they are terrible quality, I will see if I can get anything useful to share.

Interestingly, Meg is neighbouring the happy couple and she is now undecided on whether to be totally jealous (as seen in the next pic) or to be happy she has another neighbour (shown by popcorning around, something she's never done). Her loss, I told her, she had the chance!

So Rose and Kingslie are all loved up, not a problem between them. It is wonderful to see Kingslie with a ladyfriend, and to see an older girl settle in so well to her home here. x)

AWWW - Rose is stunning. She has the same colours as Nia.

I am so glad for Kingslie that he finally has got a lady who likes to share her life with him! I love that last snapshot with Meg - jealous indeed!
