I resucued Wolfie and Vampy (yes i named them after Twilight) from Sophie W. They were just under 5 weeks when i brought them home and within 2 days were playing like mad. That was over a month ago and since then they have grown lots, they are so precious to me and they get lots of love and even my reluctuant other half loves them too. Not too sure of how to put the pics on here but i will try. Thank you to everyone who rescues a pig, I heard today from Sophie she had 28 come to her, why do people breed them like this it is sick, poor little pigs and as I said to her I will do anything to help.

we need PIGATURES!

Yes people are rather carless when it comes to animals and it falls on us rescue to try and find them loving homes :( I often wonder where we will ever find enough homes for all of the animals that pass through our doors.

i know what you mean, my two are so happy i get joy every time i see them, if i could get hold of another cage i would happily help any piggy that needs help but I also only have a 1 bed flat so can not do much. I just want to help but don't know how

A pic, wolfie is the one with the stripe, Vampy has his lovely crested head down!

Hi Laura

good to see you on the forum , nice to chat to you earlier.

There are lots of ways you can help , such as helping to collect or transport pigs, home checking, etc. :)

To post pics you need to get a free Photobucket account, upload pics and paste the image IMG link into your reply

Hey, well there are many ways you can help rescue's. When you buy/order your guinea pigs food/veggies you could buy a little extra and donate it to the rescue of your choice. This helps us out a great deal. Ofcourse there are also the money donations desperatly needed for operations/medicine. Both sophie and i have dental buns that desperatly need operations. You could do some raffles and raise money for rescues that way, or selling off some old junk you have laying around and donate the funds to the rescue. Passing on the details of rescue's and their animals to friends and people you know that are looking into getting a pet. Or maybe if you go to bootsales/ garden fete's, keep your eye out for items like pet carriers/cages/towels and material's. These are much needed items in all rescues. Childrens wooden toys are great for piggys to gnaw on, such as stacking bricks (plain wooden ones)

I'm not saying you have to do this, I'm just giving you other idea's of how you could help us. Sophie has a raffle going on at the moment, the tickets arnt very much. I'm currently selling tons of kids items for funds for my rescue, so if you know anyone with young children or have young children yourself you could help me by passing on my details to that person who could then tell me what ages they wished to buy for and i can then sort out some pictures and prices.

Finding the time to actually fundraise ourselves is very hard, luckly at the moment my poorly bunny is getting better and i have a little bit of time to post items and sort things out. When we get in sick pigs and buns it is hard for us to find the time do pee let alone do anything else, despite how much we want too ( in regards to fundraising that is)

Anyway i hope i havnt bored you by now and given you some more ideas.

Great boys - and I love the names!

I met these 2 boys as tiny babies at Sophies. Glad to see they're growing into such handsome fellows - lovely colours x)

These are gorgeous boys and I just want to say that as a rescue all help is welcome, even the little things like donating veg. Or even donating a little time to help clean out some hutches/cages etc xx
