Only just seen this thread. I hope Freds op has gone well. Sending him lots of love.

My Chocs had his done about 6 weeks ago. We noticed something was wrong because he was eating slower and he usually eats the fastest, we weighed him and he had slightly lost.

Vet said we caught them early so i definately encourage weighing regular and observing piggy behaviours.

Completely agree we were the opposite I noticed the weight first then the eating but I am OCD about weighing and they are weighed every week.

My vet said the same thing about catching it early. Weighing is so important.

Healing loves and wheeeeeks from the girls for Fred xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just read this thread. Best of luck to Fred.

I do have a slight question if you don't mind. I have a piggy (as I mentioned in a topic) who doesn't like being picked up which made trying to weigh him super hard. Do you suggest anything I can do to make the experience easier?

So glad Fred is doing so well thought about you both today. Now Fred can enjoy his veggies with no problemsx)x)x)

My Wilma, and Pebbles both hate being lifted. They don't like there sides or backend being touched being touched but yet Love Chin tickles and will let you pat there head. Is your pig that doesn't like being touch at the back an Aby?

I'm afraid I'm an evil Mummy and they just have to get over it, some pigs just don't like being touched. My girls still get handled reg despite there hatred once they are out and on your lap they are fine. They are in the scales for literally 10 seconds and then back in there cage. I then give them a bit of veg to get them over the ordeal.

Hows Fred this morning ? Did the trip home last night go okay and is he able to eat his veggies ?

Hope all is well,

xx

Fred is fabulous, he's eating better than yesterday, his weight when we got home was 977 grams his lightest yet, this morning he was 997 grams and he's not stopped eating. Glen i a miracle worker, I am so glad we have such a wonderful vet!

Nom, Nom, Nomming.. says Fred!

We have to go back in 6 weeks, to see how his teethy are! xx

My boy this morning, doing very well although he has lost a bit of weight. He has went from 997grams to 986 grams. Must be hard getting used to his new teeth, I'm sure he'll get there. I'm not overly concerned as this was his stable weight last week.

Fatty Foods are on the menu, to help him gain some weight!

Mummy said, I will be getting Spoiled. I can only dream of all that beautiful veg. I like having a slave!
