Olivia has been ill since the night to saturday.
We were at the vet friday because og three of my piggies has got bladder infections.
They are being treated for that now. But I found Olivia ill saturday morning.
She couldn't walk or stand. She seemed quite disoriented and dizzy and her poo was rockhard and dry and really small.
She also layed flat on her belly all the time and her head on the ground. She seemed exhausted.
We were at the vet that afternoon and he couldn't tell what was wrong. It wasn't dehydration as I thought.
He checked her over and she seemed kinda normal - except she wasn't. Excellent shape he said, but the behaviour wasn't right. But what was wrong with her?
He gave her some corticosteroid (I've tried everything else possible) and then we would have to see for to monday how she was.
Well... We did see improvement, however not very fast. On monday she was able to stand, but not walk straight. Her poo was more normal and came at a regular basis. The vet gave her another shot of corticosteroid and again today.
The original disease is now a lot better, but not quite gone.
However - this morning her stomach was really messed up.
Her poo was a constant flow and it was liquid. I gave her som FÃbreplex and Bio Lapis and some porridge made of Vitakraft special for kids. But then I had to go to school.
When I got home her poo was still liquid and she wasn't feeling well. I gave her some more of these things and now the flow has stopped it seems...
She is drooling - or else it is because I give her water by syringe on a regular basis. I can't really say... It could also be her teeth - although I really hope not!
She is not drinking herself and the eating could be a lot better. She does eat some hay once in a while. And veges she like, but I cant give her that due to her bad stomach now.grrrr
I just needed to relief myself - I'm worried and frustrated! :0
