Hi everyone, I was just wondering if any 1 could help I recently rehomed 3 male guinea pigs I was told they was around 8 weeks which was now about a month ago I've always had guinea pigs n can't rember the others being as big as these lol x
 
I think size varies in piggies, some are bigger, some are smaller. Are you sure they are all male? And if so, be careful as a trio isn't the most successful of bondings! They are completely gorgeous and wish you all the bets with them!

Hi, thank you for the reply I was told they was all male lol have got vets next week just for a health check so will find out then, oh no I was told when got them they couldn't be separted as very close,so far they have been getting on great and pop Corning while having there run do you think they could change as they get older? They are so friendly as you can see by pics love being held and fall to sleep on my son x

I've never had a trio but it's apparently very uncommon for them to get past a certain age and still get along. But it has been known to happen.. I hope it works out for you :-)

I've got 2 boys that are now seperated after over a happy year together, i would just say keep a close eye on them :-)

Thank you, I've only had 2 before and they was together for 6 years happy ☺️ I'll have to do some research to see if there's anything I can do to help them I have noticed the black 1 ( Freddie) seems to always be the 1 to get the food and treats 1st the other 2 Sam and gibby just wait till he's finished but when they are playing they follow Freddie and a run in a line my and son love watching them then when they are tired all cuddle up together hopefully there bond stays as it is :-/ x

2 of them are 9 months and 1 is 4 months old :) just make sure you have a really roomy cage and lots of places to hide from each other like tubes and have places that have 2 entrances so they can escape if the more doninant piggy starts a fight :)
 
Aww how lovely, are they not getting on to well atm? I have 2 hides and they always together so far but perfer cuddling under there hay do you have any more pets x

They get on fine they just aren't cuddly with each other prefer to be in there own hidys and the youngest piggy is catching up in size on the most dominant one so she's trying to take over haha :p how bigs your cage? Mines a 3x4 c&c cage and it's great we have lots of hidys in I'd say try get another body just for when they get to around 3/4 months old as they start to bicker then and nope I don't although I'd like a dog in a few years time. Have you got any other pets?

Haha the youngest will be the boss in no time! I'm not sure on size not good with measurements lol but was told big enough for 5/6 pigs, my son has a hamster I'm not a big fan on them but it's ever so friendly I would also like a dog soon :-) x

Ahh awesome only reason I was saying that was because these are the first ever piggys I've had and I had them in a shop bought 120x60 cage when there were younger (before we lost our last one and before we got the newest baby) and they were a lot less happy and fought a lot more as they grew bigger making the cage bigger has made a whole lot of difference :) and my bf had a hamster a while ago and I wasn't too keen either haha. I want a French bulldog but my bf isn't too keen so we will probably end up with a cocker spaniel which is what I grew up with what dog do you want? That's my cage that I took a few weeks ago since then I've changed it a bit and got another hay box but they love it haha xx

Cool that's very similar to mine looks great :-) our boys our cuddled up to us watching I'm a celebrity lol! I'm just Abit scared of how fast the hamster is and small not like guinea pigs will just lay with you and apparently they bite very bad although as never bite my son (touch wood) I would love a British bulldog think there gorgeous:-) xx

Yeah there so speedy my bf had a Syrian hamster so wasn't as fast but still too fast and I think there too small to hold I like how Guinea pigs are bigger and easier to hold :) and his hamster used to break out of his cage no matter what we did haha used to have to search for it. And I love them too so cute :) aww your piggys sound adorable! :) 2 of our piggys will cuddle and stay still but the 3rd is an adventure and will just run round haha

I love it too when there popcorning around there cage I also love it when I come home and they hear it's me they squeak as I give them food then ( they don't squeak for my boyfriend) and our Syrian was always a escaper he ate out of the box before we left the pet store and we had to have him in a few boxers for the 5 min drive home when we bought him so I think that was a warning haha. And thank you, I love having my piggys

Thank you :-) yeah from what I've heard I agree will see how they go, they have a lot of time outside the cage to there favourite place is the hallway we set up toys and they love running and pop Corning for ages :-) x
 
Hi all just a quick question I see a lot of people using blankets etc I use saw dust at the moment could I use just blankets or have to use saw dust aswell also what do you all use are they just normal blankets xx

You have to use an absorbent layer underneath as otherwise it will be wet and smell. I use towels for my absorbant layer but a lot of people use puppy pads. I changed to fleece as one of my piggys was really sensitive to any dust and sneezed a lot. it is also just the normal fleece blankets we use I got mine from matalans (if your from UK) but aparantly primark do better ones if you decide to go for fleece you've got to wash it 3-4 times without softener before using it. You know it's ready when you drop some water on it and it goes straight through. Never wash it with softener though. Hope this has helped :)
