My precious therapy pig Belle

I am still in shock, last night my daughter was saying goodnight to the piggies and she said she couldn’t find Belle. I went in saying she was probably behind the hay and that’s where I found her and she had passed away. Just two hours earlier she was happily eating her night time veggies with her cage mates. It must have been a heart attack or something to come on so suddenly. She spent her last day on earth doing what she does best, making people happy as a therapy pet. She was perfect at my daughter’s school yesterday visiting all of the kids. I just can’t believe she is gone.45BD87EA-2652-4060-953A-01670C146363.webp
 
How sad that your beloved Belle has crossed the rainbow bridge so suddenly. Big hugs to you and your family. Belle had a wonderful and rewarding life with you and brought happiness to many people.

Definitely a piggy life well lived.

So sorry for your loss, what a shock 🙁. Hope you and your family are all OK and the rest of the herd. Belle lived an awesome spacious, high enriched life. So those 4 years with you must have been brilliant.

Was this the sow that was attacked? I think not right? Sorry I forget names

No that was Elsa and she is doing awesome considering what she went through.
Rapunzel and Kristoff are definitely grieving, I haven’t seen them go to the side of the cage where she died and they are very subdued.

Aw, I am so sorry that you have lost Belle. This is sadly just the same as how we lost Bill a fortnight ago, it’s such a shock when it’s so sudden, sending you all big hugs x

I’m so very sorry for your sudden loss. Belle was such a beautiful and well loved piggy. I’m sure she will leave behind a huge hole in your happy herd. Popcorn free beautiful lady x
 
My wonderful dad dug a grave and gave the most beautiful eulogy for Belle. My dad is actually known in our family as the funeral guy, he has a way with words that no one else can match and has spoke at all the family funerals. My older daughter Rose drew a picture of Belle and my 4 year old daughter, Anna found a lone dandelion in the snow that I am positive was put there by God for Belle. I bought this angel guinea pig when Sven passed away and it actually looks a lot like Belle.

Thanks you, my eyes are all red from crying so much. It was just so sudden, she was young and healthy and full of energy.

Oh Heather I am so sorry for your loss, such a shock too. Belle had a wonderful life with you and was truly pampered. On top of all that she had the joy of bringing some peace and happiness to so many people through her work and she was only able to do that work because of your level of care.
I find it both a blessing and a curse when piggies pass so quickly. On the one hand you know she hasn't suffered or had a drawn out passing but on the other you haven't been prepared for the goodbye.

Definitely a blessing and a curse. It had only been two hours since I had seen her eating her veggies, so I know it happened really fast, but such a shock for us
 
So sorry to read this, what a shock for you and your family, but it sounds like she passed very peacefully and you gave her a beautiful funeral x
