I’m not sure how to use this I just got it cause I’m worried about my guinea pigs toe I don’t really know how to describe it. It was swollen just before the nail but after a while his whole toe became swollen and he barley has a nail. I wasn’t sure if I’d cut it and this is its way of healing or if there is something wrong. It doesn’t seem to pain him. I have an image but idk how to use this.

Please have your piggy seen by a vet.
Guinea pigs as prey animals can hide their pain so may well be in discomfort but his natural instincts tell him not to show it.

You can add a picture by clicking ‘attach files’ below the message box, but ultimately a hands on check by a vet is the only way to find out what is wrong and get the appropriate treatment and pain relief

This is the image of his toe, taken today.

Please can you have him seen by a vet. A swollen toe could be an injury or it could be a sign of infection. Only a hands on exam by a vet will establish what is wrong and the correct treatment.

Thanks for your time. I just wasn’t sure if I was over reacting as I kept getting told that he’s fine by members of my family.
