I'm glad she is ok and got through another birth she has a good home to go to, just have to sort homes for babies now :-)

:( only just caught up with this thread. I'm so glad they are finally in your hands now Leanne, poor little Dolly, she will be able to have a lovely life once the new babies are big enough to leave!

It sounds like things are on the up for Dolly which is great. Just a word of warning though, female rabbits can be hard to bond. They can get aggressive (even if they are usually placid rabbits). My local rescue wouldn't even attempt it when I needed a friend for my female. They strongly suggested neutered female/neutured male pairings unless they are related and have grown up together. I'd get plenty of advice before putting them together.

Also, neutering females greatly reduces the risk of uterine and ovarian cancer. Up to 85% of un-neutered female rabbits will develop uterine cancer by the age of 4 - scary statistic. So even if you know your doe will never be with a entire male please please please still get her neutered!

That is all, except to say well done and I hope all the rabbits end up in loving forever homes.

The person she is going to is neutering her, i have myself have a pair rabbits but they both neautered i have around 20 other rabbits that live alone if i ever planned on pairing any they would be fixed to as i know how aggressive females can be when paired, thanks for advice though

What a shame poor mummy bunny :(

Sounds like daddy bunny needs neutered pronto!
Ditto. Glad to see that plans are in place. And I am really glad to see that last group of photos; they help me understand what it is I found in my pasture this past spring as I was moving a brush pile. I moved some wood, and I found a hair pile just like in Dolly's nest. I thought it to be remnants of a dead animal so I picked up the hair, and then saw the rest of the hair squirming. I looked more closely and there were some naked babies that I could not identify in a hole. I quickly put the hair back on top of the babies and then stacked the brush back over the hole, leaving room for whatever mother it was to get in, not disturbing it again until early summer. These pics show me that what I found was a rabbit's nest.

Wow! How have you ended up with 20 single buns?

i keep mini rexes, thriantas , argentes and few old rescues and other rare breeds and at present only two have been paired up :-)
