Hi
@Wookey78 , sorry for not seeing the post earlier
I've just listened three times and cannot make out any purring sound. I can make out a sound that sounds like a piggy chuntering away but it's not quite clear to me. Plus I couldn't see the piggy to see what she was doing at the time. Sorry I just cannot tell.
Some piggies are noisier than others. I had one, she lived on her own, and with others (long story), and she chuntered away no matter what. In fact I joked that she couldn't walk without engaging her voice-box, but it seemed true. Another person called her a sewing machine piggy, as she was constantly chut-chut-chuttering every time she moved. I have another piggy who is a rather vocal and chutters, but not as much as the other one did. Some are very vocal, and where one will make a sound under a circumstance or mood, another will stay silent.
Unfortunately the noise sounds a little distorted from the recording and I just cannot 'get' it.
Edit: Listened with my headphones on and I still can't make it out clearly but it actually sounds like a cross between two noises:
1) when one of mine is a bit annoyed with another piggy. And when I pick Penny up she protests with a similar noise and squirms, but settles down again once put on my knee. She makes that noise when I cut her nails too and trim her bottom fur!
2) when a piggy works itself up in anticipation to something without launching into a wheek, I will hear a noise similar to that when I've not fed them yet but they know I am in the room, and they all join in and gather to the bars and make a squabble-chut excitable noise (without actually squabbling, it sounds sort-of squabbly if that makes sense) before working up to a full-on wheek when I get the message and get up to feed them!
I don't know, I am a bit confused.
