Not interested in veggies

Well done to you and Ozzy! What a clever little chap 🥰

Ozzy is up 10 grams today :) very proud of him. For my own sanity I switched to weighing Bruno and will continue to with Ozzy each morning now, he was 1127g on 24 of August (this is my mistake of not weighing him more regularly, but with how he is he acts like a newborn piggie still) and now he is 956g. Could this be from attending constant vet visits with ozzy etc? Because hes very active in the hay, will hoover up salad no problem. I do feel at fault because I should have been weighing him, but with him being so well and active I hadn't been doing it

I did the same thing recently. I’d had a busy month or so and didn’t weigh them weekly as usual. Then Patrick lost a bit of weight and had lice again. I told myself off but it’s easy done.

I’d weigh Bruno daily for a few days to see if there is a downwards trend. Hopefully he’s fine.

Awww Patrick! Naughty lice, hope he's okay now 🩷 it is, especially when they look to be doing perfectly fine. I will do, thank you 😊 i wasn't too worried as he's a chunky monkey to begin with, but hope he doesn't lose any more 🥰 xx

I'm not sure what to think or do. My boys are coming up to be 7 now, and this past week Ozzy isnt interested in veggies anymore and is eating very slowly when he does eat. His weight is down 120g, and its like he wants to eat how he did but he doesn't. He got the clean bill of health from ellie whitehead a few weeks ago, but I feel like 120g is a huge loss
How has he been?

Maybe a bit of a silly question but not something ive been through before. Ozzys weight is going up, and now hes really getting fed up with getting syringe fed, he is eating more than he was, i dont think as much as he needs to be yet. But hes so sick of it now that hes biting me quite a bit if I'm solo feeding him, if its a feed with my partner he doesn't as much but still feels like hes very annoyed every time. Is this a sign that he feels like he can do it alone? Or do I keep going just to get his weight up a little bit more?

Do you think if you made some up and left it in a bowl he might eat it himself? If he’s not too keen on the recovery food you’ve been syringing, you could try him with mushed up pellets instead.

I'm not too sure, I can try it :) I think it's more the action of actually being fed that's making him annoyed if that makes sense, I just really don't want to go backwards with him. I can't tell if he's eating quite enough to only be topping up either, hes very very adamant he doesnt want it and has been in the hay and eating it quite a bit more than he was, just really not sure when to stop doing it as much

I know with mine, they’ll sometimes eat it out of a bowl but they tend to prefer it from the syringe! Both of my girls have IC, so need a daily feed with glucosamine in, which I add to some critical care or Emeraid sustain every night.

Your girls are very lucky to have you :) maybe they can teach my feisty moo that a syringe isn't so bad!
