I watched and didn't see you :(

Couldn't believe the dog and the chicken incident, did you see the poor thing limping off? Quite glad some humans got 'electrocuted' tho ;D

I saw you, and I must say, no you we'rent on long! I was most unimpressed with the total lack of homework they had done on piggies, and the way they were joking in the car about keeping bunnies and guineas together :tickedoff:

And those crowds that were just allowed to wander around and take the roof off the houses and pick up the piggies, I just thought it was totally unprofessional to be honest and made me a bit sad :(

However, it does make you want to have a village of your own in the garden! ;D

i just saw you, although couldn't really make you out. how annoying for you, putting in all that time and effort and then not getting any recognition, not even saying the name of your rescue, where they got them from. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: i have to say, and i know it's not your fault and i'm sure you did everything you could for them to be looked after properly, but i have to say, i didn't like the way they were kept, and the way the children were just picking them up and all crowding round them. wasnh't impressed by their attitude towards the rabbit either. poor you, they just ignored your advice. :tickedoff:

i live about a ten minute drive away from jimmy's farm, I may go have a look, see how the guineas are doing. Did they take just females?

I saw this too. I was surprised that the guinea pig area seemed so poorly supervised. It was woorying to see the piggies being carried around too. I hope they did get the bunny and babies out, they would be stressed. :o
As for the puppy, Max, unless it's a well trained dog, what did they expect. It is their natural instinct to chase. I found it uncomfortable to watch.

Didn't they want to lock the pigs in the house area of a night too? It was never 4ft by 2ft? I may have heard wrong! Peter told me not to get any ideas about starting a Guinea Pig Village, I told him no way its cruel! :tickedoff:

missed it... then afterwards I heard about you and some piggies being on there. Wish I'd seen it :-\ Havent watched Jimmys farm since the first series to be honest

Anyone know if its gonna be repeated?

Dam it love you said you were concerned, grrrrrr is there some way you can complain about that particular program?

at least everyone here knows the truth we know how much you care for piggies O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I didn't watch it but my Aunt told me that Jimmy said on the programme that he wouldn't have the staff to make sure they were locked up every night.

They'll be open to all sorts of predators, not to mention the fact that anyone can handle them.

For me it was a no win situation. The houses where quite small and they would be distressed if they were locked up and if they weren't locked up foxes, wild cats, buns, birds etc could kill them! How hard would it be each night to pick them up and put them in a secure hutch for the evening. There seems to be no care for the guinea pigs it's all about how much money the farm can bring. The RSPCA should investigate, I can't believe I'm still angry about it but I am!

On the Digital Spy forums they are saying how good it was! It goes to show people need to be educated on animal care.

I missed it but I'm glad after hearing what youve all said about it ! :tickedoff:

Most of the houses are a lot bigger than the ones they show on the programme. When they came to see me I suggested they add better ventilation, bigger windows etc and shut them away at night, they told me they would do it but now I wouldnt mind betting they dont :( No point contacting the RSPCA, they wont do anything, one of the inspectors I know already knows about them.

But if you are unhappy that they have not fulfilled your terms of adoption, can you not take them to task over it?

I'm glad to hear some of the houses are bigger than the ones shown. The RSPCA don't seem to do a lot when businesses are involved, but if it was us we'd be up in court!

Ah well I'll watch on Sunday and see what happens to the guineas! I'd like to see how Max gets on too, hes a treasure!

Caught the repeat of last Sunday's episode - yesterday evening. Missed the bit with you showing them around the back garden but think I briefly saw you putting a lilacy looking pig in a box 98) Had shorts on and a pony tail?! Didnt like the way all those people were in the enclosure at the farm - couldve stepped on them :(

Me too! ;D ;D ;D :o Couldnt believe that pup was let in with the chickens either - poor little chook. But the dog didnt know.

Not looking forward to this weeks episode piggy wise :'( Doesnt sound good - heard the word 'murder' mentioned :'( :'( :'(

Sorry - me again. Just visited his website - couldnt find any mention of guinea pig village ? :(

I turned it on and a guinea pig had just being killed by a dog :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

Dont like Dolly's attitude to be honest! - especially when he got that letter. :tickedoff: Glad they're separated now! O0 But like I said before - the village doesnt seem to exist anymore? 98)

RIP little piggy :'(

Thank god they have got the rabbits out. Did you see the state of the inside of the houses? Horrified how they were just pulling the piggies out. :tickedoff:

I could not believe Dolly's attitude, saying that the general public knew nothing and how they thought they knew more than him :-\

I hope it was an email you sent him that he was reading out!

At least the RSPCA came round and told them to seperate the gp's from the buns O0

I was catching flies with Dolly's attitude, it absolutely stank! He has no regard for the pigs welfare. That poor pig who was killed by a dog as well. The BBC shouldn't have shown the actual pig. I had Fleur on my knee at the time and it just made me feel sick to the stomach!

We arent do gooders for e-mailing, we do it because we care about their welfare. I'm glad the RSPCA advised them and they did seem to listen Dolly also saying he didn't care if a fox got in and killed them was a disgrace, the farm isn't fit to care for the pigs in my opinion!

Although I'm also pleased the pigs where moved to winter accomadation, I just hope they learn from the mistakes they have made. It appears to be all about how much money they can make and there seems little regard for the welfare of the animals.
