New Born Pup
Hi,
We have recently got 2 Guinea pigs, we were told they are around 7/8 weeks old. We have now had them a week, and they’re not very active at all, stay hiding in a tunnel or in the bed unless we get them out. They are eating but not as much as I thought they would, from what I’d read before we got them.
i was just wondering how active a baby Guinea should be? Should I be concerned, I’m starting to get a bit worried now.
Thanks

They are probably very scared as they are youngsters and have not long been in your home. If you cover over one end of their cage and make sure they have access to hay, pellets, veg and water close to their hidey you will find that they will gain in confidence and come out more. They do take a while to settle in their new home.
