Nugget is being spayed on monday 😫

Uh oh not a good start to the day got lexie to school but she's really not well so no school for her today 😫

Aw sending hugs how awful to have to wait again after all your careful planning! Hope Nugget's toe and your daughter both make a swift recovery x

Thankyou, I've never had a pig on anti biotics before how far apart do I give the pro c? Xx

Oh that’s frustrating. She has to be well though so it’s for the best to wait. I hope her toe gets better soon

Sending you hugs, hope everything calms down for you soon. Get well quickly Lexie and Nugget. Xx

It’s frustrating having to wait for the laparoscopic spay but better to get on top of the toe problem first. I would give Pro C 1-2 hours after giving antibiotics. Hope all heals quickly.

Oh dear - shame about the toe but it does sound as if your vet is very careful.
Hope Nugget’s toe mends quickly and nothing else happens.
Hope your daughter feels better too

Well miss nugget certainly isn't phased by said dodgy toe! It's swollen and bent to the side, and the end of the nail bed is dark brown/black so it looks pretty horrific but she's popcorning around and climbing up to say hi as if there's nothing wrong 😍 she likes metacam but hates baytril, she's taking it though as she's getting the metacam first to trick her 🙈 it's probably for the best we delayed the spay anyway, today it would likely have been the full spay but by waiting if things go well with their piggies then we get to do the ovariectomy 😊 plus wouldn't have been great having surgery with an infection anyway, just crossing fingers and paws we get the toe sorted soon🤞

Oh miss nugget not a good time to loose weight 4 days before your tentatively booked spay, her nail end is still black too but less red and swollen, I really hope she can get her surgery friday that last season was the worst one yet, I had to break up several scraps I'm not sure they'll get through many more as friends they're giving each other evils from opposite sides of the cage currently 🤦‍♀️ there was teeth chattering, face nipping and lunging going on over the weekend--nightmare 😳😰 piggies and their hormones eh!

Wishing Miss Nugget all the best for Friday, and a speedy recovery too x
Give her a syringe top up of mushed pellet or CC for a few days if she seems otherwise healthy

Aw good luck little Nugget! I had one of mine spayed today, it never gets any less worrying. I hope everything goes smoothly for her.

Best of luck with the spay, I hope it can go ahead this time and Nugget has a smooth recovery! Possibly the weight loss could be linked to her strong seasons? My more hormonal girls (and their victims!) Have often dropped 50g during a mad season, with all the running and chasing and humping and general disruption to peaceful meal times- then they gain it back the week after x

Thankyou yeah I think it's the mad season she seems well in herself and is eating and pooping and everything xx

Hope Nugget picks up enough for her spay.
Holding you in my thoughts
Thankyou she's fine in herself and the redness and swelling is completely gone it's just the black stuff is still there but I'm thinking maybe her nail is just a different colour now 🤷‍♀️ I'm feeling less nervous than last week, though ask me again Thursday night 😂😂

Well we are almost all set, carrier set up with hay in ready, pellets and forage packed just got to add veggies in the morning, I'm going to take the fleecy tunnels they have in their cage at the moment so there's familiar smells for them... Now let's cross every paw she gets the spay tomorrow cause I don't think my nerves can take much more waiting or any more crazy seasons :ple: also cross every paw the practice ovariectomies went well so she can have that surgery! Either way.... Let's just hope we get rid of hormones tomorrow! 😰😱:mal::yikes:

Sending much love, hugs, luck, healing wheeks, crossed paws, and any other things you and Nugget may need tomorrow! X
