Thankyou :luv: it's so strange that I have no idea which surgery shes having till I get there 🤣 would be so much less nervous about an ovariectomy but then right now I'm more nervous that it'll get rearranged again 🤣

Ooh oophorectomy, get you @VickiA with the technical terms :) I am going to incorporate that word into a lecture next week completely out of context and watch my students be baffled :)

Haha! She dived into a bowl of forage so I'd say she's doing pretty awesome!
 
Doing very well today, I don't want to jinx it but I can't actually believe it, eating veg, nuggets, hay, recovery food from a syringe and a bowl, forage is proving a welcome addition especially the oat hay, she's even been popcorning! She smells all clinical bless her 🙈😍 I'm covered in recovery food as usual 😂😂
 
Well I jinxed it, down 70g overnight despite syringe feeds, squeeling her head off facing the corner of the cage, my vets are closed so off to the emergency vets we go 😭

Thanks she's had pain relief and gut stimulant injections, confirmed weight down 70g, to continue with pain relief and syringe feeding, if no improvement to take her back tonight, everything looks OK other than that so think she's just been nugget the trouble causer 😞😂 xx

Thankyou she is a bit more alert after the pain meds, she's taken 10ml easily in the last syringe feeding session, I've upped her to every 2 hours until she's eating better by herself again and we see some weight gain, she's still miles better than fluffy was after her spay I just didn't want to leave her in pain and loosing weight over the weekend xx
 
Sounds like she's doing better, well done to you and your bank balance for going to the emergency vet! Come on Miss Nugget get well soon and stop causing your mummy all this worry x

Thankyou 💞 the 40min drive with 3 kids (one with a raging temperature) was worth it to see improvement, ever just looked at one of them and knew it couldn't wait? Pretty much how I felt when I picked her up after finding her facing a corner squeeling her head off and she was physically shaking, I knew it couldn't wait when she didn't perk up when I put her back in the cage (normally a quick check over and the mention of the vets they do a miraculous turn around) nope not miss nugget she looked pretty awful, looked a bit better by the time we actually got to the vets of course 🤔 but she's definitely down at least 70g so she needed the injections 😳 I always worry I won't know if they do need an emergency vet trip but I think actually we just know don't we 🤔 xx

Aw you definitely know your piggies well and know all the right things to do, Miss Nugget and her friends are very lucky having you as their piggy mummy x

Thankyou 💞 I feel like a rubbish piggy mummy when they are always ill but I think I just have bad luck 😳😂 I wouldn't change them for the world though 💞
 
Good and bad news this morning, good is she isn't squeeling her head off or in obvious pain, bad she's down another 32g making a total loss of 102g 🤦‍♀️ she is taking recovery food well I just don't think she's eating much for herself in between, she's perky in herself though much better than fluffy that didn't move much for days post op, weight wise she's gone from biggest piggy to smallest 😳 she has her post op check tomorrow xx
