Junior Guinea Pig
I like to experiment with my guinea pigs diets and see what fruits and vegetables (of the ones their tiny guinea pig stomachs can have) they like and don't like. I know Oranges are discouraged because the acidity can cause mouth sores but every few weeks I like to give Reptar and now Maximus a wedge of unpeeled orange if it's a sweet orange I know they would enjoy. Reptar devours his slice like nobody's business, Max is my little shy piggy who takes a while to warm up to each veggie or fruit I introduce to him so I'm not sure if he eats his slice or if Reptar takes it. I wouldn't usually give them orange but I know it has Vitamin C and they need all the Vitamin C they can get.
My question is, do you feed your piggies orange? If so, how often?
