Meet Leo (named after the white-lighter in Charmed)...
After much deliberation we decided to abandon trying to find a companion for Oscar at this point as he's at the stroppy teenage stage (5 months) and decided that the best option was to get Pepe, who desperately wanted to be friends with Dylan, a minipig as a companion. (Oscar has now taken Pepe's place next to Dylan)
Pepe has been brilliant, and after a few brief attempts at "humping him" is now acting like a protective father, guarding the oustide of their stick house whilst Leo sits inside and generally staying as close to him as possible.
When we took Pepe out of the cage for a few minutes he started "wheeking" for him, they already seemed to have established a really strong bond,
And when we have them out together on our laps they always manage to work their way back to each other and snuggle up.
He's 5 weeks old, has a monster appetite for such a small piggie and has already had a number of popcorn fits as he dashes around in the cage... he's very difficult to photograph when he's dashing around!
His colourings are very unusual (at least to us anyway).
We got him from GBH Rescue in Beckenham where he and his brothers were born. We took Pepe along to help choose him and although he seemed to get on with one of his other brothers too (a himalayan white) he seemed to take more interest in Leo, so here he is...
