our new piggy is here - maisie's new friend

we adopted dandini from rspca walsall.

he's soooooo gorgeous! and sooo tiny! x)

i had a cuddle with him and he's in his cage now, hiding in a box of hay. he's eating lots of hay.

he's just been out, been a robot pig, and ran back in the box. :))

thanks to funnehmare for collecting him and bringing him to us, we really appreciate it :)
 
Ah that's good news. I will look forward to piccies once he settles in

well he is sooooo friendly. once he braved being out of the box, that was it, there was no stopping him. he talks constantly and moves about constantly. he already takes food from me, and lets me stroke his head. he comes over to me aswell. x) he's such a happy little thing. he eats hay like it's going out of fashion! he's had a drink, and pellets. this morning he came over for brekkie like maisie.

him and maisie are sticking close together by the bars. they are nuzzling noses through them, and talking. he is rumblestrutting at her, and they both stand up to see each other, and bite the bars to try and get to each other. so i will be bonding them today because they seem desperate to get to each other. and we have had popcorns from both of them. x) i think they will bond well. x)

i have decided to call him eddie. it suits him. the description said quiet piggy!:o he talks non stop! x) but i love it. i just love him already. because he is adorable, but also because maisie is already looking different. she looks happy and her eyes look brighter.

so bonding today! he has just fit right in here, and brought some happiness back after the sad time we have had recently. x
 
How wonderful he is settling in already. I really hope the bonding goes well.
 
Awwh I'm so pleased that he's settled in so quickly with you guys :). Eddie's such a babe, I'm certain Maisie will love him just as much :)). Good luck with the bonding today :) xx

Just caught up on this! So pleased for you, you've had such a tough time losing Ches :(

Eddie sounds absolutely adorable, with a great pigsonality! Hope the bonding goes well - I'm sure it will. Looking forward to pigtures and updates.
 
the bonding went really well, and they are now back in a nice clean, neutralised cage. :) it was an easy bond. :)

eddie is crackers! he is so excited and full of energy. he really likes maisie and follows her around. x) maisie lay with him and washed his face and ears. x)

they're like a mum and son pair, that's what their relationship seems like. x

i took some pics of them in the bonding pen so i'll get those uploaded soon as. they're not very clear because i had to use my phone.

eddie has a nickname - crazy eddie! :)) he is hyper! also been calling him eddie pops! :)) he is still super excited by the cage, hours after going in! lol

maisie is so good with him, and patient. x

they're currently enjoying floor time at the moment and eddie is super excited again! and i nearly cried with happiness because maisie is talking again, just muttering to herself, and they play piggy train alot and they just did lots of pops together. really lovely to see. eddie adores maisie and likes to follow her and do whatever she is doing. he sometimes pushes her a bit too far so she moans at him a bit and then he stops, but he's getting the hint now lol. they sleep next to each other and maisie is really patient with him and nuzzles his face. x

I got the fitch by the way, thanks, will give it a go on next clean out.

Great to see them loving each others company! He really is a stunning little boy and Maisie is such a pretty girl x)
