our new piggy is here - maisie's new friend

Awww! They look like they've always been together. x) I'm glad they are so happy with each other. Thanks for the pics. :)

i'm so happy for maisie. x)

i'm leaving the floor time run open all night (it's attached to their cage) so mr crazy eddie can run off some energy! lol.

maisie adores her cosy tunnel, it's like her favourite item and she's all snuggled in it earlier... when eddie decides to walk over the top of it! :)) well, you should have heard maisie's reaction! she was shocked as anything! :))

they're getting along really well :)


i will try and get some clearer pics with o/h's phone soon. his is better than mine. x
 
maisie's eyes today are soooo bright. it's amazing to see. she came out for brekkie, closely followed by eddie. lol. x
 
little update -

everything is going well and they have settled into a nice routine now. eddie knows how far he can go with maisie before he gets shouted at lol. and he's calmed down a little now. the initial excitement made him hyper, but now he's settled and he's still on the move all the time, and talks alot, but he's not neurotic now, lol.

the one worry i have is that maisie is eating most of the veg. she eats so fast and he hardly has time to have any. so i have to keep some aside and hand feed him after. although maisie then gets huffy with me lol.

i've decided to leave the floor time run up all the time, except for the night i clean. i then take it down, get it all cleaned, and they stay in just the cage until the next morning when i build it again until next cage cleaning. this seems to be good for them both. maisie needs the exercise and it gives her some space, and eddie has move room to run around aswell.

eddie is very friendly. he is comfortable with me and my o/h. he knows maisie is boss pig, but at the same time he won't be bullied by her so that's good. he does like to follow her around like a little pup aswell. they like to eat hay sitting together and they sleep in the hay area together aswell.

we are at the vets in a couple of weeks for the bunnies vaccinations, so maisie will be having her cysts checked and a general check over, and eddie will be having a check over aswell etc. :)
 
Sounds like they are going along great! Crazy Eddie must be so happy in his new home! Pitch and Putt used to eat at varing speeds too we used to have to make sure Putt got a decent share as Pitch used to wolf everything down so quickly. So pelased it's going well.

they get along really well which i am so pleased about. :) eddie seems so excited by everything! he just seems so happy.

i gave them separate plates for their tea because he seems a bit unsure taking the food from the one plate. so maisie is probably giving off 'this is my plate' signals! he was much happier with his own plate. i broke his veg up into smallish pieces, and kept maisie's pieces larger so it took her longer to eat. although she still finished first and then tried to steal his. i tried to move her away and got a right telling off! lol.

Good technique :)) I like the way she told you off! She's the boss!
