I get a big bag of hay from my small pet shop. Its local and they get a fresh delivery every week...
Its not vacuum packed and has nice long pieces of hay which are soft and perfect for tunneling through rolleyes:)). A massive bag costs me £3.20 which is less than the bitty, mainly dust and tiny bags you get from P@H for about £4...

I have bought from P at h on occasion i have run out and I'm too late for the pet shop but i might as well have gone without...

I am fortunate in that we get a massive sack of gorgeous hay from one of my colleagues who has a farm. In emergencies we have got some from P@H but it seems either full of dusty bits, or just like straw as lots of you have said.

Ozzy&Marley, do you go to Waterworld in Neston? Next time you are in there have a look in the back corners and let me know how they are keeping their rabbits - we got our Marble from there basically because we couldn't bear to leave him - he was crammed into a guineapig cage, had runny eyes and bottom, because he was a big Magpie rabbit and not a cute dwarf or lop which were all in the pens for people to buy.

Thanks everyone for your comments on the hay. We've always had really good quality hay from P@H that the pigs love. I'm going to take this batch back because it's not of a high quality, see if there are some better ones and if not hunt some down. Just found a local pet shop near me, so will check that out. And will have to closely look at each bag from now on

I used to buy the big batch from P&H, but then it went up and was expensive for me. Then i tried a big batch of hay from Jollyes and switched to that when i found out I was getting more for my money, though it used to be £4.99 but now it's gone up to £5.99 for a big batch, it's now more expensive than the P&H one but you are getting more for your money and it lasts me.

Hi, no its not Nestson (at least i dont think so!) i go through Ledsham and its over the Chester Road (i'm not sure which one not the A41 but a big dual carriageway) The one i go to hasnt had any rabbits of guinea pigs since before christmas

I just had a look on the website and it is in Neston (sorry I'm useless!) Like i said they havent had any rabbits or pigs for ages but i have never had any problem with them, i find the staff are usually very helpful and knowledgeable. All the animals i have ever had apart from the bunny came from there (including the piggies)
