He’s gained 25g. I just want to keep his weight stable. I don’t want him to rely on the critical care.

So the vets are looking to see if they can fit him in this week to have it removed as I don’t want him to deteriorate further and then go onto the operation any weaker.

I’m happy but worried too. Best to get it over with though.

No it's not invasive, he will be sore for a bit but with good pain management he will be fine. I'm sorry it burst. Duck's is still under watch, it's not getting tight or bothering him.

After Stripe was so sick I've had a whole year of healthy pigs and I find myself saying "this is how I imagined having piggies"

Hopefully it will happen to you too

Nursing pigs is so hard! I used to cry when Stripe was paralyzed but it was so rewarding when he got well.
