Patsy has a lump on her stomach

So I've been syringe feeding her every 4 hours now (and some water each time as well), and she's just had a pretty big bowel movement for I think the first time since she's been home.

Her droppings were slightly longer and thinner than regular droppings, but it wasn't runny. Is that normal after an operation with syringe feeding?

I also caught her having a brief nibble at some dried Dandelion salad, which is also the first time she's done that since she's been home.
 
Yes poops are different after an operation. It shows the time that they haven't actually been eating while they have been under GA. Betsy's were stringy poops first of all. The vet said not to worry just be thankful that there were any poops at all. They will get back to normal when she starts eating for herself. Have you put hay in with her when she is between syringe feeds? (Obvious I know but it is easy to forget what with everything that is going on).
 
Ok, phew! Thank you again, you're being very patient with me I have to say 🙂

I've been putting fresh hay in the cage, I might put a small amount next to where she's been sitting in case that encourages her to eat some. So far the only food I've seen her eat is the critical care I've been giving her (aside from the small amount of dried food she at a little over an hour ago).
 
Even a small amount of food is good at this stage. She will still have the GA and all the other drugs working their way out of her system. Have you tried putting some Critical Care in the cage to see if she will eat that on her own?

My Daisy has just had her ovaries removed (Tues) now Thursday pm and she is still not right - still a bit sleepy and doesn't seem very awake.. the GA has really knocked her out! All the best to Patsy... x

I didn't think about that, I'll put a small dish with some critical care in with her later. I don't want to disturb her now she's eating but herself, but that's great advice thank you 😊

She's eating fairly regularly now, I've caught her munching on hay and some veg (carrot, cucumber, some bits of apple), and some more Dandelion salad.

I've not seen her drink from the water bottle yet so I'm still keeping an eye on her, since she's been home I've been giving her water via syringe at the same time as her food so she may just not need any yet. She's looking more like her old self though!
 
That's great news! Is she in with your other pigs or still in the hospital cage?
 
Lymphoma. They got all of it out with the surgery and the vet has confirmed everything looks ok after the checkup just now, feeling pretty sad about it still.
 
I hope this isn't considered spam but I just wanted to post to say that Patsy is still going strong and is well and truly back to her usual (naughty!) self. She's currently (and literally) chilling next to a bottle of frozen water wrapped in a sock, to help her and her sis manage in the heatwave we've had recently.
