Pebble has an appointment at the vets at 2.30 today. I’ve been monitoring his weight for a few days after I noticed he “was a bit off”. Slight weight loss, still begging for veggies and pea flakes though. His front teeth are slightly wonky so I’m assuming dental at the moment 😢

Let’s see what they say. I’m taking him to an exotics specialist. So fingers crossed they know their stuff 🤞🏻.

Send healing vibes his way.

Good news is he’s healthy and not in gut stasis.

Problem seems to be a possible ulcer in his mouth and probably a tooth spur.

He’s having fluid and injectable pain meds and then pain meds and support feeding at home. Then arrange for an op soon.

Glad he's not in stasis and you have a plan in place, well done.

Thanks everyone. ❤️

He’s had his meds, hay, syringe feed, some coriander and a few pea flakes.

He’s got a fleece hide with a snuggle safe under half of it.

He looks a bit dazed/scared. Could be the meds the vet gave him or the shock of going to the vets today.

But he looks ok.

I’m going to be out for most of the day. We have tickets to the theatre. We hardly ever go out, now I wish we hadn’t booked it. 😢

He’s had about 12ml of syringe food and some veggies. He’s in the hay pile now having a munch. It’s not ideal but I’ll feed him again as soon as I get in this evening.

Please do not feel bad for going out. As horrible as it sounds, you can’t put your life on hold and Pebble needs you to be well so you should most definitely go and try and enjoy yourself. He’ll be fine if you give him a feed before you go out and again when you get home x

Thanks Claire. They are such a worry. ❤️

Hope you are ok? X

They really are. Thank you for asking. I’m ok. Just take things day by day really although I am feeling a little sad as it’s coming up to the two year anniversary of when Esme went to live with Wiebke on the 14th January. I’m so pleased though that Esme is enjoying her retirement with Wiebke and her friends x
