Pebble is off to the vets

Sorry Weeps our Village is suffering really badly with flooding our house is fine but we have been out on traffic duty to try and save some of the old cottages from the wash from the cars coming through. It’s been three days of very little sleep and a lot of welly work. I’ve quickly scanned through the posts and I see pebbles is doing pretty well. I’m so pleased and please excuse my bad grammar my brain is absolutely noodled. Stan is doing really well. I’m just gonna update my post.

I’m so pleased Stan is doing so well. Such a relief. When you are in the middle of nursing a poorly piggy the emotional rollercoaster takes its toll. Thank you for being there for me 🥰

I’m sorry about your village though. The weather has been atrocious recently.

Pebble is doing well. He’s still not eating tonnes of hay but he put on 29g last night. He’s getting two lots of nuggets, peas, veggies and grass a day and two EmerAid 15ml syringes a day too. I’ve weaned him off the gut medication and the paracetamol. He only has a little arthrocam left so that will be stopping soon. Hopefully he will be ok medication free 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Take care ❤️

Hi @Ramia. He seems bright. Chasing Patrick quite a lot. Think he’s making sure Patrick knows whose still the boss since he’s been ill.

His weight is a bit up and down but he’s still gaining a little so I’m just monitoring for now.

Hope all of your furbabies are well x

To say I’m happy is an understatement.
And I’m flipping delighted too Weeps - it was so great having someone walking the nursing path with me when Stan was ill and I’m chuffed to bits Pebbles is pop Corning x

Yes. It’s lovely that people respond and keep asking how it’s going. It really makes a difference. Such a wonderful forum.

Agree totally it’s dark times and everyone who sends a love or makes a comment of support really does give a boost - I think I’d have crumbled without not only the great advice but with the support too. I love here and the guinea pig magazine. Stan won pigture of the month and we donated our prize to Mandy’s guinea pig rescue where we adopted from - kindness spreads kindness. You are more than a post on a forum, your a pig friend x

Hi @Ramia. I was away with my sisters Saturday/ Sunday. And he dropped 35g 🙁. He didn’t get a syringe feed on them days. So it’s still a bit up and down. But he’s acting fine in himself. Hope you are well. I’m pleased to see Barrett and Nettle are settling down nicely.
