Pebble is off to the vets

Yayy for the little weight gain - amazing news!

Mine have never liked CC, I've always used either Science Selective Recovery Plus or the Burgess Dual Care. The Science selective one seems to be better for weight gain but alfalfa is one of the ingredients so I do try to limit it especially as we have issues with sludge and stones, so most of the time I use the Dual Care and they love it. Good luck x

Thank you ❤️

I’m going out today to get some redigrass.

He keeps making the “choking face” where he’s trying to clear his throat. That might just be because he hasn’t chewed his food enough and he’s getting it back into his mouth to chew it again or maybe he has a throat issue?

He doesn’t look in pain when he’s eating. Since the op he’s chewing much better and quicker.

So pleased Stan is doing well.

Let’s see what today brings.
That’s all we can do flower is one day at a time sometimes one hour at a time. Let me know how it goes. I don’t know if it’s like the dreamies of the cat world but it certainly had that effect on my two.

Stan is snuffling in his nose today something else to worry me. He’s obviously on Baytril so that’s reassuring but I am continually scared when I’m syringing liquid in not to flood him!

You are I won’t know ourselves will we when our piggies are better

Hope Stan’s snuffly nose is nothing. Just a bit of hay dust.

10g increase overnight.

Scoffing nuggets and veggies for breakfast.

He didn’t want the CC so I added a bit to some banana.

The pet shop didn’t have Redigrass so I got some other type of hay. He didn’t like it.

Two hours later he’s scoffing more nuggets. So I try some CC again. Not interested.

Tried lettuce and corridor. Well he sat on me for 45 minutes eating so much.

He seems brighter today.

Sending best wishes. I'm so glad he's looking better😀 I've been following this thread but haven't really had any helpful advice to give. Just keep doing what you're doing😀

It’s so strange isn’t it that he wants the nuggets and veg and no hay… little monkey. There will be a party in this group when he finally does chew some hay ! I know you are right on everything but if you soaked it in water to soften it do you think he might take it. You could chop it up real small and see if he will eat the mush. Also you could then add a bit of chopped up very small coriander to that which would give him the small and taste of coriander …. Pardon the pun but I’m literally clutching at straws.

I’ll give it a try. Nothing to lose ❤️

Here is the little monkey causing me all this heartache.
Ooo he is a rascal ! I’m hoping he’ll start eating hay soon ….its good he hasn’t lost weight and is eating ….little monkey indeed 🥰
Take care @weepweeps it’s tough but you’re doing great and we’re all here supporting you ❤️

Thanks. I’ll go to a different pet shop tomorrow.

The hay in corridor and water didn’t trick him. 🙄

If you need some Readigrass I have a couple of unopened bags and will happily send you one.
Just let me know

Another random idea to try….
Herman loves the Burgess excel recovery pellets, slightly wet & warm! He seems to find the soggy pellets easier to eat than when dry. I don’t mush them.

I pour over a bit of hot water when I boil the kettle, and wait for it to cool, before serving.

The EmerAid came. It looks and smells weird. Like a paste? Is this right?

Anyway there was a battle and I won. Woohoo
Think I got about 7mls into him.

He’s back eating his pellets again.

Thanks everyone for your ideas and suggestions. I’ve got another flavour coming tomorrow. 🤞🏻
