Pebble is off to the vets

Yes like a creamy paste, quite sweet smelling compared to CC if I remember, and much smoother looking. It's a different kind of food but apparently it has a decent amount of calories in it. You are doing so well.

Today’s update is that he lost the 10g he put on yesterday.

But he’s still happy and munching on his veggies nuggets and a few peas.

He’s very happy with the new syringe feed. Think he’s had about 25ml so far today.

I managed to get the redigrass. Which he is sniffing around in and is very interested in. He has eaten maybe 3 pieces of it so far. So all in all I’m quite happy so far today. 😊

Morning Master Pebbles ! Now today is the day you are going to munch hay! We are all willing you to take that first strand and you’ll remember it’s delicious and exactly what you need to get you back popcorning and wheeking! Monday munchies ! Go Pebbles! 🤞🥰

Oh fabulous that’s he has at least tried the readigrass - thank goodness ! Let’s hope it reconnects with eating hay now he’s started the process. Brilliant news

Readigrass is good for putting on weight …my Vet advised me for Freddy the skinny pig ….to help keep his weight stable thru the winter
Hopefully sweet Pebble will munch it …along with his new cc stuff 🥰

He’s loving the new CC. 22mls this evening.

He’s really trying with the redigrass. It seems he wants to eat it but is just having trouble getting it into his mouth. But he can get coriander and veggies in. I’ve tried poking hay into his mouth but he’s still not happy eating it.

Doesn’t want grass today either.

Glad he’s enjoying the CC and veggies, great he’s enthusiastic for some of the food

Oh crikey do iou think there is still a problem in his mouth ?

Hi how are you both? 💐
Hiya. Doing ok here.

He’s gained 14g. Everything else is pretty much the same as the last few days.

He gets weighed and meds. Then I put him in the carrier for his nuggets and veggies. He has hay and grass in there too. But he’s not interested in that.

Then I put him back in with Patrick and he rests for a bit. I give him some syringe feed at lunchtime.

More veggies and nuggets in the carrier at teatime. And syringe feed in the evening.

So he’s not getting massive amounts of syringe feed.

Negatives are he’s not eating grass or the 4 types of hay on offer.

I was going to take him to the vets today to see what they say but I must admit I’m scared they will say he needs another dental for £400. I know that sounds bad but I haven’t got an endless pot of money. These two gorgeous boys will be my last and that makes me sad.

As they are exotics they charged £220 just to look at him and prescribe 2 meds.

If they say to just keep going I’m doing that anyway.

If they say do his teeth again I’m not sure if I’d do it 😢. Then I look at his little face and of course I would want to do it. But when to draw the line.

He’s started chasing Patrick too. At the moment I wouldn’t be able to put them together in the carrier. I hope they don’t fall out. So far Patrick is just letting him chase him away. But Pebble has lunged a few times for Patrick too.

It was just metacam and cisapride. And they measured them out. I didn’t even get a proper bottle!
Weep what about tramadol ? It made all the difference to Stan - you could request it as additional pain med without consultation - I can give you stans dose when I get home - it’s a quarter of a tablet twice a day but I’d need to check box for the tablet size

I paid £58 for a consultation in London. The initial visit is more because it's longer, but after that, it's £58 and then the meds are more.
