Hello my lovelies!
Sorry i haven't been on/ replying to threads. There is about 20 pages of thread updates, so ill have a nosey through them later.
Hope you don't mind me posting, just a wee worried now ive phoned the vets and just wanted some reassurance.
Percy-Roo has been losing weight gradually over the past month, i didn't think it was too urgent till we bathed him last night. He has been eating, drinking fine, he's breathing okay, pooping, but has been ever so miserable, generally not bumbling about as he usually does and just sits. Nothing else. The first week i thought it was due to the awful weather and him not being outside on the grass as much so on okayish days i put the run on the pavement to keep him amused, the second week i made the hutch more interesting (hay in loo rolls etc) and brought him indoors for more one to one interaction.
But this week, the third week its been the worst. He's not moved from his little hay loft since Saturday, he’s very docile, not wheeking at all, compared to tabby he just looks like hes giving up. Normally in bath time he splashes about, and popcorns in the bath but last night he just sat facing the wall of the tub, not moving.
When we did bathe him we could see how skinny he was compared to Tabby (whose at 950) Percy-Roo at the beginning of May was 980, hes gradually lost weight over the weeks (whilst still eating his normal diet) and is now at 700.:{
I phoned the vets this morning and the receptionist was really lovely and had a word with the vet whether he should come in asap or later on in the week, after speaking to the vet she advised me to come in this afty. So i have an appointment at 3.30.
I just don’t know how to describe his symptoms hes just miserable!
Laura xx
