Hi folks looking for some guidance
I’ve had my two piggies for almost a year now. One is 2 and the other is 1, I adopted them from two different families a week apart and properly introduced them. We moved recently to a bigger home which meant they now have an entire room to themselves with lots of space. I’ve been thinking about adopting another female but the older piggy has me wondering if that’s a smart idea. At least 2-3 times a week the youngest will cry out for help because the oldest looks to be biting her. I haven’t found any blood but she is nipping (I accidentally got in the way once). I designated a large pet store cage as their food and hay area, the cage is not enclosed or anything, they have a ramp to get in and out, it’s just to keep the mess down. I noticed recently the younger one isn’t going in when I feed them she waits a bit. She used to just jump on in! I give them lots of food but now I’m wondering if the younger one is getting enough food. Should I get rid of the food cage area? I thought I was fun since they could climb and such. If I got another piggy would that be an issue? My partner is worried the youngest will get bullied even more if we get another one. Any advice would be so help!
