Piggie not eating- please help :(

You're definitely giving him the best chance by taking him to Simon. He's worked wonders with so many of my piggies. He's such a fantastic vet. Definitely one of the best.

Keep syringe feeding him regularly. Does he take the syringe food well? It's good he's still interested in food.

Oh no :( - have been following this thread as two of my piggies have been off their food and on Baytril which has knocked them about :0. Luckily, they have started to perk up a little tonight but have been beside myself, spoke to the rescue I adopted my piggies from (feel a little calmer now)
Know what you are going through day and night and pray your boy gets through this and makes a full recovery.
C'mon Branston, get well little man.

I hope Branston has a good weekend and the vet can put him on the right treack on Monday. Sending some healing thoughts. xx>>>

aww poor baby, and poor you, you must be stressed! we have our fingers and paws crossed for him over here! goood luck, and i hope he makes it through the weekend and can be helped by the appointment on monday. xx

Yeah he does take the syringe food well, he came out of his house when it was veggie time last night. I chopped some small pieces for him, he tried to eat some, realised he couldn't so just lay next to it looking sad :(
It's my 21st birthday today, so i've told him he has to stay strong :)
Thank you for all your kind messages x

Been following this thread also, just wanted to wish you and little Branston the best. I know what you are going through. He sounds a resilient little piggie. Totally agree with Clairelove, its good news that a dental piggie will take his syringe food and wants to eat. Keep up the syringe feeding, you've only got one more day to go, then hopefully Simon will be able to help sort him out.
All fingers and paws crossed for you. Happy 21st birthday

Just read this thread - sorry to hear about Branston - hope he gets on ok Monday - this Simon sounds a fantastic vet.

I've got him in mind if Monty ever needs to see a vet - will not be easy getting there and back as unless Dad will take me on the 120 mile trip its a case of 2 trains and a bus in about 3 hours!

Good luck with things, hope it all goes ok I will keep checking the thread.

Happy 21st Birthday:)

Happy birthday x

I hope all goes well hun with branston, sending lots of good luck vibes and squeeks

happy 21st birthday also hun x x

Happy Birthday!

So glad he enjoys his syringe food. The fact he wants to eat would suggest its a dental issue rather than anything else.

Are you going to be okay with finding your way to Simon? Do you have sat nav? I could always meet you somewhere and show you the way.

I've got a sat nav, so should be ok thank you Debbie :) it says it takes 1 hour and 25min. He's used to travelling in the car, so at least it won't stress him out.

He does sound a fantastic vet, if I ever need to I'll definatley take my other piggies to him in the future.xx

He's great!

If ever anyone needs any help getting to him, I can always pick up from station or meet at motorway services I can always put anyone up for the night too, although it will be on the sofa.

Obviously he can't perform miracles but I trust him 100% with all my animals and he's worked wonders with so many dental pigs.

I'm so sorry, you really did all you could. Huge Hugs. At least he knew he was loved!

RIP Branston. xx

Oh love i'm so so sorry to hear about darling little Branston 8...8...8...
RIP Branston run free at the bridge, popcorn thru the meadows and enjoy munching on the dandelions and clover you'll be so very very sadly missed by your mummy and friend but NEVER forgotten xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) and loads of loves from Glynis, Velvet and Onyx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Another little star now twinkling in the sky ............. :(

You tried so hard, whee've been crossing paws........

I'm so gutted, he just needed to hold on 12more hours :0 if i'd of found a good vet quicker it all could of been different :( he even put on some weight yesterday, I really thought he'd be ok. Still can't believe it, he really was my special piggy.
Junior his cage mate seems ok, hes stayed by his side all this week. He knew he had gone last night, he was very quiet and not himself. I'll keep giving Junior lots of attention.

Life's so cruel :0

I am so sorry to hear of your lose. You did everything you could.

Hugs

I'm so very sorry, you really did everything you could, it's so unfair to lose a pig when you are putting your heart and soul into trying to save them.

It just broke my heart to see Branston had passed, I can't tell you how sorry I am that the vets I hoped could make a difference were not more help.

Suzy x

I've been following this too.

So sorry to hear, it's heartbreaking when you try everything and don't know what else to do.
I lost a piggy in October after visits to the vet and hand feeding for a few days, we never found out what was wrong. We were all devastated.
I now have a piggy with dental problems who's not himself and I'm worried so I feel for you.

Best wishes
