What a day! Apart from my own 22 piggies and Schmichael the rabbit I'm also looking after various other peoples piggies and rabbits! Schmichael doesn't realise there are three ladies outside (think its best it stays this way!) ;)

Day started with arrival of four children. Into car with them and off to Ellie's house to feed her 13 piggies. Back home in time for arrival of another child! Feed all the piggies and rabbits at my house and then off to the park! Back home and piggies into the runs. Lunchtime for children! One child goes home! Put up a tent in back garden for children to play in! Referee lots of arguments! Other children go home and then back to Ellie's to check on piggies. Friend phones to say her pond is leaking so dash off to take her a big water tank! Chase piggies around runs and get them back into their cages. Feed them all! Open bottle of wine and flop down into chair..........and realise I haven't had any dinner myself!

oohh hectic day!

and theres me thinking i had my hands full with 7 piggies ;D

You've certainly earned your glass of wine for this evening! :D

The bolognese will be fine as it's been in the fridge O0

What a hectic day.I must admit the piggies get fed first in my house and we sometimes get our tea abit late but I haven"t forgotten it yet........my son would soon say he was hungry!

Certainly was a busy day! I thought I was stressed today - I had an easy time compared to you! Enjoy your wine! ;D

So good to read that someone else is refereeing arguements while we have our summer holidays LOL! Seeing to guineas is quite relaxing :)

The guineas are the easy bit! Zach and Buster have their moments but generally they all behave wonderfully! :) Children....well what can I say? I guess they are lovely really but.........very trying at times! LOL

Poor Schmichael's week didn't start too well. He loves playing with toilet roll tubes and he threw one into his water bowl. Oh dear! It soaked up all his water! He got very upset! :(

silly bunny, I don't know how you cope with all those children and piggies, I know which I would prefer.

In many ways its all unconditional. When I have the children saying 'I love you Debbie and I am going to miss you this weekend' then really its not that different from the love you get from the piggies and bunnies. :) I am so lucky. I am surrounded by loving animals and I do a job which I really love too! :)

My children are now 21 and 19 and I don't think I have the patience to cope with small children.

Mine are 22 (Hannah) and 20 (Elllie). I love my job. You see the world from a childs eyes again! So special! :smitten: :smitten: Don't get me wrong....its very frustrating at times but also so rewarding. They keep me young too!! LOL

That does sound like a hectic day, I am tired just reading about it! Mine was similar as I look after 8 month old twins and have my 4 around too (though 2 are adults now >:() and my piggies do seem hot and bothered and Lennie is being bad tempered :(

I'm past being kept young ;D I'm now suffering the effects of too many years of horses and riding

You are also a childminder aren't you? :)

Yes I am, but I only have the two..that is enough for me! It is a very tiring job but I do love looking after them :)

you are not convincing me , the older ones are bad enough, my daughter wants me to take her shopping tomorrow before I go to Work.

Gosh you are brave :D
I would love to take the twins swimming but its impossible by myself, never mind take my other two as well. In fact I am sure it is one adult per 2 children at pools, which does make sense :)

Yes its the same at our pool. That's why I got Ellie to come too. The time in the pool was the easy bit. It was getting them all into their swimming stuff and dressed again which was the biggest headache! I was getting all their clothes mixed up! LOL

The nearest one in Sandwell is around 6 miles + away on the other side of the borough. There are two in Birmingham but not in very nice areas.

Great Barr near the m6/m5 junctions. They closed West Bromwich nearest is Smethwick, Tipton or Wednesbury or B'ham is Handsworth or Perry Barr. I sometimes go to Makro at Halesowen. There's also a big new petstore opened there (not P@H).

West Brom has changed a lot in the last few years. Shopping centre is dire and is supposed to be redevoloped soon. B &Q has just closed and where the police station is all around there is supposed to be the new big Tesco. There's a new art gallery? supposed to be opening soon and we have a new bus station. The metro (tram) also runs through which gives a good link to B'ham and Wolverhampton.

Bet i wouldn't recognise it. I worked for SCM (Smith Corona typewriters) who were in the building just off junction one of the motorway. Its something else now and has been for a long time. The last time i was in West Brom was when my mum was in Sandwell General Hospital and that was in 2004.
