going shopping this afternoon as my usual carer is off so another one is covering and shes got a car so i'm gonna make use of it.
Chockster needs more hay (again) so will be picking up a cupple of different ones so he cant favor one over another one.
will be picking up a cupple of other goodys for him. let you know what i got him when i get back.
hope to not go too wild in the isles but you never know with pigs.
:)

if anyone also wishes to tell us what they got their pigs recently feel free to tell us :)
please give discriptions as well as picks as i'm blind so cant rely on picks only.
Thanks.

don't know who gets more excited, me doing the shopping or Chock when i bring it home...

I bought my piggies a log tunnel recently which they love. It's about 12 or so thick sticks held together with bendy metal poked through, then you bend it into a tunnel shape.

We sadly dont have much in offer here for guinea pigs so that about as exciting as my purchases get!

MIne love the bendy logs too! I've just ordered our girls some oxbow hays to try! :D

got chock more Natures Touch Wild mountain hay which he totally loves, more wood flakes for the bottom of his cage, Burgess dandelion and marigold herbage hay which he also loves and 4 little woven bull rush balls which he's been playing with since i put one in his cage after i cleaned him out.
think i'm gonna be kept awake with that to be honest...
well, if he's happy, then i am....

Chock now has 6 bails of Natures Touch Wild Mountain Hay unopened, one open and 5 bails of Burgess Hay with Dandelion and Marigold Herbage which arn't open so he's well stocked up for hay.
there is also a half bail of Timothy Kings Alfalfa Hay open and one bail unopened.
i like to get as much as i can at a time so that saves me money in the long run doing that rather than having to keep going back every cupple of weeks or so.
don't know who's got more stuff in here Chock with his hay/dandelion mix/food or me and my instruments...

also forgot to put in my last post that there are 2 10 £ bails of wood flakes unopened and one i have just started as of yesterday as well as all the hay.

my support worker thought my shopping was accessive till she saw the rate Chock eats leaves at then she changed her mind and said i'd done the right thing by getting as much as i did...

my volentear from Guide dogs works in the pet indurstry and he can get me bails of Burgess X L hays for holsail price rather than retail.
i've ordered 4 1 kg bails as he really loves this Barn Dryed Forage that i started him on as of monday.
it smells really nice and feels really nice and he likes it for eating/sleeping/playing in.
i can also get the Burgess mint pellets from him as well so i may as well make use of the contact while i have it...

chocks now well stocked up with different kinds of hay
in one cupboard there are 4 bails of Burgess Barn dryed forage hay
4 bails of Burgess dandelion and marigold hay
in the second cupboard there are 5 bails of Natures Touch Wild Mountain hay
Timothy Alfalfa kings alfalfa hay
an unopened 4 kg bag of Burgess X L mint food pellets and Wilco dandelion and green oat mix from Wilco.
Do you think he's got enough?

it looks like a lot but the rate he goes through it is why i get so much in the 1st place...

he seems to be eating his own body wait in hay every week
wonder if its got something to do with the fact that its now winter because he never goes through this much in the summer months

yesterday i tryed to get out of being asigned to the hay rack because Chockster had his nails cut so i went on a spending spree
1st off it started in the vets i got him a willo ball and a edable rattle toy
then i went to wilco with my support worker and got him:
3 bags of dandelion and green oat mix as i was running out anyway
a new treet bowl which is a bit smaller than his other bowl i was using for treets before so now i can make his salad last twice as long so if i need to give him leaves at night icase he's being noisey i now can as his pellet bowl and treet bowl are now the same size
his pellet bowl says Nibble on it and his new treet bowl says munch on it
a wooden log toy which consists of log cut in to sections and strung on a metal chain which he's probably woken me up with so thats why i'm posting so early
an edable carrot and hay house which he's chomping as i write
a pack of 3 different textured balls which are designed to be pulled apart
1 spair water bottle (which doesn't drip)
i think that's everything for this shopping trip...
if i've forgotten anything i will add it...

new there was something i forgot
got him a bag of lokust bean treets to try him on
he's currently kicking them about, don't think he knows there for eating...

just a little update on Chocks toys i got for him
he loves every one of them so i don't think i'm in the hay rack anymore as he let me pick him up and stroke him before i put him in his pen with 3 new ones :)
he's been playing since 6 this morning and he's showing no signs of wanting to stop so i will just wait till he tells me he's had enough...

Going piggy shopping tomoro afternoon with support worker so will let u know what i pick up for Chock when i get back with his things

Just been doing a stock take to work out what needs baught at pets at home and wilco as i going to both places today so i have an idea whats needed from both shops but knowing me extras are bound to find their way home as well as the stuff he acually needs cause i am soft where Chock goes and he knows this and takes full advantage of this fact :)

Went wilco and i got the big eatable house
A fantastic toy for pen time
More dandelion and green oat mix
From pets at home i got
4bull rush balls
Chock keeps recking them
2 £10bails of wood flakes
A 4kg bag of Burgess xl mint pellets
2 bails of natures touch mountain hay so thats him restocked with that hay
1 bail of Burgess dandelion and marigold herbage hay as hes not going through that so fast
Also got 8 bails of burgess barn dryed forage hay ordered so that should come in 2 weeks
Corn cobs
Think thats it for this spendin spree

Chocks loveing his new toys particurly the one from Wilco as it makes a right racket when he plays with it
Thats why i picked it out

Buying for Archie is disappointing, he just ignores the stuff I get him. He only wants my stuff, like my blanket or my nice cushion, and always tries to filth my stuff up.. Hes not really a big fan of treats, he will eat some but often leaves lots, like he will never eat flower petals, dried carrot, beetroot, popcorn etc. I usually eat it, hes silly, its really yummy. Hay is the only thing worth paying any money for, though I can make my own in the summer, which is his favorite.
The toys, bedding etc, can be used by us or Bikbok, so it works out okay but honestly, we just dont buy archie stuff like that as its such a waste of money.

Choc was not in to toys for the first three years of his life he has only started to really playing the stuff in the last year

His barn dried folded will be coming tomorrow and I have no idea where that's going to go because I haven't calculated were to visit there are eight bales coming 8 kg Beals so I'm starting to get a little bit worried

We are at 11 kg bills and I have to find space for eight of them he starting to take over the kitchen cabinets on the bottom part of the kitchen units he has three cupboard so far

1 kg bails and there are 8 bails i have to find space for

You may have thought that I have went a bit mad on the shopping front but if I ever have to go back into the mental hospital again at least to ever looks after chalk while I recover doesn't have to do any shopping that's my excuse anyway

I am going to go to Wilco tomorrow morning with my person that's bringing the H a Y with them and I'm going to get another edible house because Choc has made a great big massive hole in the wall scenario has 2X it I didn't take him long

I never know what I'm going to come out with when I go in to Wilco
