Playpen

Mine would get straight out of that! They’d nose their way under it in no time.
I do use a fabric play pen, with a bottom, as ‘base’ for floor time, but they roam my dining room as the pen is much smaller than their cage
 
@Guineapigfeet how would they nose out of it? I use fabric playpen for hamster, he does chew on it but I distract him and he doesn't do it anymore. Usually the chewing is a sign he wants to get back to the cage.
 
I use that for my piggies. They love it. When they can’t have floor time (free roaming), they play in that. Mines the largest one (185cm x 90cm) I think?

easy to clean out and fold up. Plus it’s enclosed :)

From the pictures in the link it didn’t look like it has a base. Is it removable? If it has a base then it’ll be fine. Mine have destroyed one fabric playpen by chewing the door zips out and ‘new’ one only has one functioning door now too!
 
They do have a base. It’s like one pig pop up tent, but enclosed with a waterproof base :)

Thinking of this as a playpen for hamster but can be used for guinea pigs too for floortime.

What do you all think of this?

Looks good to me, as long as the bottom is secure. Not sure I'd want to use it for grass time with guineapigs like it suggests on amazon though...

At 185cm * 94cm that's roughly speaking a 5×3 c&c cage size, so bigger than my main cages lol.

I think I might get one of these for floor time, and if its durable enough maybe as a travel/emergency cage
 
My hamster (a syrian) was able to destroy any kind of mesh extremely quickly. He was also able to climb mesh. I think you:d have to watch the hamster very closely while in the pen. Not sure how high up the solid portion of the play pen goes, but you might want to consider one that goes up higher.

That worked fairly well.
I now use that pen for my piggies as well, although everything is indoors.
