This is what happens when you put a fleecy wrapped snugglesafe into a covered bed with a skinny pig :

She's one happy piggle in there :))

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Love the pigture! x)x)drool

Just wondering if anyone has found that their piggy didn't like heat pads?

Neither of mine will go anywhere near their ice pods in the summer...I know it's not really the same thing but I wondered if it's maybe an indication that they don't like leaning against/sitting on anything hard, if they can help it. Mind you with a fleecey cover they might like it.

Mine have been sleeping on them since buying them - i put them under a cosie though! :))

Just bought two for my two groups of piggies. It can be their early christmas present. =)

Thanks....she doesn't normally sleep like that (front legs out front (normally sleeps hunched up) ) but on a heat pad she loooooves as much of her body on it as possible :))

Hehe, imagine how nice that would feel to just lie on a big warm mattress! :))

Ooooh lucky piggies! I wonder how many presents they all end up with what with us all giving them to them early! :))

I use double sheets which i fold until i get the size i want these are nice and heavy so don't slip off the top of their house. Even tho mine are inside, they're downstairs so it can get down to about 12-14 C (under 58F) then loads of hay and little towels/snugglies and a smaller cardboard box which they can fit under and lay down in ..... :)

I was just thinking how chilly it's getting and whether I should be cover the cage yet. Might get the piggles out for a cuddle to warm me up :))

Have sorted all of the snugglepad covers out this morning and washed them ready for using in the day whilst I'm at work. Our lounge can get a bit cool but is toastie at night with the blinds and curtains closed so have not had the heating on as yet.
Do have a habit of popping fleecy blankets in the tumble dryer for a few minutes and putting them in the piggy pens mallethead :x Used to do this with the kids clothes in the mornings for school in the winter so must come from that (they're adults now so the piggies are my children rolleyes)
Have checked their little ears and feet and lovely and warm - I'd probably feel warmer if I put some socks on tbh :)

Tracey, you did mean socks on yourself didn't you? ;):))
I covered the cage last night for the first time actually, its difficult to cover the c&c I have now so I drape a fleece over either end and tuck in down the back :{

Thanks so much for the link to that heat pad! I know what my piggies are getting for Xmas! <3

Ive had to take one of my piggies to the vets today, I thought Leo was on his last legs. Turns out he was just "cold". These heat pads are a great solution to my problem! <3 So thanks! <3

:)p

Oh no! Glad little Leo is ok, is he an indoors piggy?

He is an indoors piggie <3 I think he should be fine now.. Hopefully.

Oh bless him, hope he's all warm and snuggly now. You could put a hot water bottle in there for him wrapped in fleece until the heat pads come? (Not boiling water though obviously mallethead)

I wont do the hot water bottle just incase. He gave me a little nibble today because he was stressed. (he never bites) so id be scared about him biting the bottle. we have them up against a warm radiator, I hope this will be the best I can do for him.
