i'm curious, all my girls have nice neat poos, yet all my boys are nearly twice as long. Anyone know why. Lol

@Wiebke are those that do bigger poos more likely to suffer impaction then?Mo does huge poos (I showd this in a previous thread) and so did my sow Vinny.
What a lovely subject!can't poos differ a lot from pig to pig? Beans has always done huge monster poos, while Toast does little ones

Oh thank you! That definitely makes it clearer for me -No. Impaction is caused by a general weakening of the muscles at the back end, which include the muscles that propel the poos out of the body.
The size or presence of testicles (which determine how big the perineal sac is and therefore how long poos can get) has nothing whatsoever to do with it! Neutered boars can get impaction the same as full boars. They just don't have the storage capacity for a big build up, that is all.![]()
