Oh it could be weeks. They need plenty of time to settle in and will be scared for a while. There are loads of helpful posts on here for you if you're just starting out but please keep in mind at all times that guinea pigs are extremely timid by nature. Everything take time with them and you can't rush them - they'll do things at their own pace but it's certainly worht the wait.
To be honest I've only been able to stroke one of them while feeding him. The other makes brring vibrating noises if I go near him. One squeaks all happy. I really want to cuddle them but don't want to rush them but there more I feel I leave it the less they will want me to pre them.
