Junior Guinea Pig
Just looking for some support as I'm very worried about my Prim
Late last night I noticed her poo was a bit loose and she wasn't herself, wasn't moving much or interacting with the others. I stayed up with her until I saw her have a drink then move into the hay (about 1am) although I don't know whether or not she ate. I noticed her squeaking and appearing to strain.
This morning I got up early to check on her and she was lying still in the hay, not very responsive and a bit cold. I separated her from the others and rang the vet as soon as it opened. I have them registered with Manor Vets in Edgbaston but they had nothing until tomorrow, but they got me into another of their branches at 9.20am.
Prim got worse on the way, I could smell a bad poo smell from the carrier and when I arrived she started having bad diarrhea. Which I guess was good timing as it started when I was on the way to the vets!
They have admitted her for tests and fluids etc but I'm so worried about my baby. Started crying almost straight away when I was in there, felt a bit stupid, but she was pretty bad.
She's only 3 and I can tell the other 2 are missing her. I'm waiting on a phone call now but please send her your best wishes. I hope I've done everything possible
