I'm pleased you managed to get the xray without GA, hope Nutty starts to feel better soon.

Any news on Nutty ?
The clicking sound you've heard turned out to be tracheitis in one of my piggies and treated well with Marbocyl and Bisolvon.
She'd had a course of Baytril for a URI and no improvement so took her to our Exotics who diagnosed pleurisy and tracheitis. She was better within 10 days of further treatment :)

Hiya, just to give everyone an update quickly.

After no improvement, I called my specialist in Sandhole vets and popped down there with Nutty on Saturday. He was getting much worse and the vet was very concerned by how labored his breathing was. After talking through the options with me we decided the best course of action was zithromax. This morning I have woken up to a very quiet piggy cage. No wheezing. No whooping. No hooting. Just heavy breathing with a slight click occasionally. It's amazing. I'm so relieved I did go to another vet. I was beginning to get very frightened for him. I am surprised it has worked so fast and I'm seeing improvements already. He's no longer nodding as he breathes but his sides do move quite sharply in and out.

He is not back to normal yet but at this rate it won't be long. I think this should be a reminder to people to listen to their gut when they know something isn't right. You know what your piggy is like all the time, more than the vet that sees them for five minutes. If your vet doesn't listen to you, or take you seriously, you can always try somewhere else. If I had listened and stuck with my first vet, I honestly don't think Nutty would have been with us much longer.

Thank you so much for all your help and advice and your kind words. I was a little afraid to post till this morning because I was so afraid for Nutty. I am so happy my baby is on the mend. Currently in a cuddlecup on my lap enjoying some pepper!
