Hey all,
So I am sadly down to one guinea pig now, Barry. Barry has been living alone for around two months, now I know that isn't ideal, but I initially did not want to get him rehomed, thinking that he is getting older now and may not accept new housemates and I just didn't really want to see him go.

He still popcorns when I put hay in and runs around when I clean the cage. However he has started to barber the fur on his back legs, I assume due to loneliness.

I have decided due to my current circumstances that I am not gonna get any more pigs, but did want Barry to see his days out with me. Now I think that maybe it is kinder to let him go elsewhere and enjoy his time with fellow pig company.

So, my question is how do I get him rehomed, ensuring that he is going to a good place? I live in Manchester.

Barry is six years old and other than the barbering is in good health. He has also been neutered and is used to living with girls.

Have you got any rescues near you that you trust who could take him? Or perhaps a friend close by who also owns piggies? Someone on the forum may even be able to help... I'm very sorry you are going to rehome him as you clearly love him but it is really good that you're putting his happiness first. :)
