Hi everybody, Ages since I last posted (still kept busy reading everyone elses though)! Had a sad week lost my piggy called Toffee was so upset, and it was heartbreaking for the kids. Anyway a week had gone by and my other one Fifi just wasn't herself she was eating but no squeaking and no popcorning, I know they have been quieter lately with this awful weather usually just cuddled up in there beds! I decided to get a rescue piggy to keep her company, We got pebbles yesterday from the RSPCA kept them apart for a few hours in the cage and them seperated them in the bed area (so I thought) but when I went out this morning they had managed to get together, Fifi showing her teeth at Pebbles a bit, do you think it's just her showing that its her home? and chasing her a little bit, but just been out now and they are quiet and cuddled up under the hay in the bed area. Do you think I'm going to be ok? Would they be fighting a lot more if they weren't going to get on?
Also can see the difference in pebbles poo, it's not as solid as Fifis but I don't know what she's been fed on, RSPCA rescued her from a house fire and she has been fostered, so she's had cabbage and carrots and dried pellets so I suppose that could just be change in diet couldn't it.
She's a lot smaller than Fifi but Fifi is long haired, would love to know how old she is, but I suppose that's the problem with a rescue you just don't know.
Is their anything else I can do to make this any easier for the 2 of them?
Also! We've been discussing it as a family and would love to introduce a 3rd piggy, so they can snuggle up even more! How long do you think I would have to wait, or do you think it could upset the apple cart adding another one?
Thanks a lot everyone, could really do with some advice on this, Is everybody out there looking forward to some nice weather and sunshine so we can start enjoying are pigs more!
Thanks Dawn
