Many people purchase their beloved furry friend before even thinking about it and ends up with a too small cage,in balanced diet and a lot of health issues. I cannot stress how important it is to do your research before getting a guinea pig as sadly in my case I have had many sleepless researching nights on my first week as a piggie owner.Guinea pigs come with a lot of responsibilty and is counting on you to put food in its bowl, fill its bottle, pay vet bills, clean the cage, provide hay, clean up mess, bathe when needed, own correct equipment and love them! One thing I cannot stress enough is when owners just go "I'm bored, let's get a guinea pig" a guinea pig is a huge commmitment and all I'm trying to say is please do your research! The amount of disgusting videos of "getting my guineapigs from petsmart" or "teaching my guinea pig to swim" that are on YouTube make me sick! If anyone is a wannabe or a new piggie owner I extremely recommend Skinnypigs1 as she has some amazing advice and information who personally I really look up to! She was the person I watched when I first got my pigs so I advise your to too!
sorry for the long thread I just really feel it had to be said
