Hi, I don't know if you have been following my other threads of Sooty, but if you have you will know that we were going to the vets to get her put to sleep today.
We went at 12 this afternoon and we are all very upset, although we believe it was for the best. In a way I'm glad that she has gone as she was only suffering.
But, instead of it being her kidneys like the first vet had said (we took her to a different vet because this one was fully booked) this vet said it could have been a bladder tumor. She gave us the option of either going along with the putting to sleep process or doing a number of tests on her to see what it was and then attempting to treat it. I couldn't bare to see her go through any more discomfort of the stress of being tested on, so we made a joint decision of getting her put to sleep.
Thanks to everyone who has helped through this hard time.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We had Biscuit put to sleep rather than her having to endure pain at the age she was. We believe a tumour on her bladder was the cause of her illness.

Sorry once again.

So sorry. Its hard to watch a furry suffering and know you know Sooty is pain free at rainbow bridge. Sleep well little one..

Sweet girl at peace now with the others who were waiting at the bridge for her.

So sorry for the loss of your piggie. Making the decision to help them on their way to the bridge is so painful, but you know when it's the right choice to make. You did everything you could for your special girl.

BIG HUG

Sometimes it is just so hard to outweigh the obvious suffering against rather intrusive procedures and slim chances. Your decision was guided by your love for Sooty and not one made in the spur of the moment.

It may take some time until your heart has caught up with your head, though. You can't rush the grieving process - it is the other side of your love.

RIP Sooty - popcorn free of pain again!
