Hi all cavie lovers!

I have some beautiful organic rosemary in my garden and want to share with my GPs. I think they might love it. Everything I can find online about amounts says "start with 1-2 leaves." OK, this may be daft, but what the heck is a rosemary leaf? My mental description of rosemary would be that it comes in the form of needles on small flexible branches that I would call sprigs. Am I only supposed to give them a needle or two? That doesn't sound reasonable. But a big sprig would probably be a lot for a little GP. I'm looking for how much... like maybe 1 inch or 3 cm of a fresh sprig full of needles?

You should only give a very small amount, very sparingly of the strongly flavoured Mediterranean herbs. They aren’t harmful but they they just aren’t really recommended for any regular feeding due to the oils and that rosemary tends to be higher in calcium. As it is strongly flavoured, it’s one of the herbs which tends not to be favoured.

1-2 centimetres of a soft stemmed tip would probably be plenty but i would only give it very occasionally, perhaps as a little treat once a month maybe
